JL Audio 300/4v2 amp with lousy speaker

Hi,
Anyone kind enough to guide me through what should i change in order to match the quality.

i have currently,
JL Audio 300/4v2, 4gauge power cable, good monster RCA and speaker cable.

but still using JVC HU and magnat Xperience 216 (6.5") component set. Rear is just stock 6.5". thinking to get some extra midbass (as current component set is not good) and some low freq speaker (active sub / small box subwoofer). budget <1K. any recommendation or should i increase my budget?
