Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii)

It's a hardcore challenge for the hardcore gamer, and because of its difficulty, it offers an amazing sense of satisfaction when you've completed a level that's kicked your butt five ways to Sunday. Retro Studios may have dialed back its Metroid Prime-style innovation in favor of a more traditional platformer for its latest experience, but Retro's modesty is still more impressive than another developer's A game. Rare should be proud that its design is in the right hands. Or just insanely jealous. Either works.

http://wii.ign.com/articles/113/1135734p1.html

There are a few issues that mar an otherwise awesome experience, but those shouldn't stop Sonic fans and Wii owners from grabbing the best Sonic game in 18 years. As a blueprint for the future of SEGA's star, Sonic Colors delivers, and then some.

Source:http://wii.ign.com/articles/113/1132902p1.html

Things might have changed in the last 15 years, but at the very least Activision and Eurocom have done wonders to capture the essence that the original Nintendo 64 game grabbed a decade and a half ago. I don’t think the WIi game will change the FPS genre in the same way the Rare design did, but as a standalone, original experience, it’s hard to deny this game’s greatness.

READ MORE at: http://wii.ign.com/articles/113/1131501p1.html
