Phottix Aster

I have a met 36 flash and a Phottix Aster which arrive last week.. no matter how i try the flash won't trigger as how i want it to be. Out of 10 time only 1 time succeed. I wish to try on others flash unit 1st before sending back to check.
Any advise to GURU out here??
The flash is working good on my cam
The Receiver show signal that it receive trigger everytime
The problem is the flash wont Fire..
can i try the trigger on your flash??
Is there a way to check also??
