I am trying to use my iPad (1st gen) for note-taking so I would like to get a stylus instead of using my fingers. Is there anyone with the experience would recommend a stylus for me? Thanks.

[SOLVED]Shrinking volume

I bought my new laptop a few days ago and the C drive it assigned to me is too big (230GB). I was intended to make a new partition, so I used the Disk Management utility provided in the Windows, and try to 'shrink' the volume C. To my surprise, there are only 167 MB available to be shrunk, while the free space is actually more than 180GB!

So I used Auslogics Disk Defrag and noticed some files are placed at the end of the partition. Is there any software for me to 'move' the files to the other part of the partition?

Thanks.

[SOLVED] Cooler Pad Recommendation

I just bought my Acer Aspire 4750G three days before, and now I noticed that my palm will get sweaty after long use of it, as the keyboard started to be hot. Is there any cooler pad that can solve the problem? If not I'm going to get a fan to blow on it then ==

Thanks.

It won't start after inserting two identical RAM

Specs below :

CPU : Intel Pentium D 2.66GHz
Motherboard : Asrock G31M-S
RAM : DDR2-800 1GB (CL6)

Symptoms :

I bought 2x1 GB Super Talent RAM and tried to install them to my motherboard. Unfortunately, I found that my computer won't start after that. There is nothing output to monitor, and there is no beep, too, though the CPU fan working properly. I unplugged one of the RAM and the computer than functioning properly.

At first I thought it was the RAM I unplugged has problem, but I changed the RAM I unplugged with the one inserted in the computer, and the computer functions too. So it seems that the motherboard is the one has the problem.

Just now I noticed that maybe the problem is the frequency of the RAM. The truth is, the FSB of my CPU is 533MHz, and according to the manual, the motherboard simply doesn't support it (don't know why the boss insists on installing this to me). So, after using CPU-Z, I found that my RAM is working under 533MHz.

Now I guess that the problem maybe is the mb can't adjust the frequency of both of the DDR2-800MHz, so the computer can't start. I am not familiar with the BIOS, so is there any options for me to adjust the frequency of RAM? Or, the problem is on the other parts of the computer? I am eager to insert the RAMs as it is soooooo lag to launch Photoshop with 1GB RAM. Any chance to get the things well without sending back or buying a new mb, though the warranty is expired already.

Thanks.

"Your Card is Locked"

I just want to use my father's credit card to pay my Singapore NTU application fee (SG$20) via online payment system. I've checked to make sure that all the information I provided to them is accurate but the transaction just failed. Then the system directed me to a page to input some information (including name of cardholder etc, and weirdly, mother's maiden name) to "activate" my father's card. But it show that my card is "locked" and I could never activate it (the button is grey in color). What should I do now? Should I contact Alliance Bank to activate the card or is it possible for me to solve it individually? Thanks.

Failed to upgrade to 1Mbps promotion

I have just send my application for upgrading to 1Mbps (from 512Kbps without modem) via online MIPS but it failed. It gives me a message of Error creating upgrade report (or something similar meaning to this). I kept trying but failed, too. May I know what should I do now? I really want to participate this promotion since it is really a big deal (add RM5 and my bandwidth doubled). Thanks.

Braodband Package : 512KBps
Router : DSL-520B
IP Configuration : DHCP assigned
Operating System : Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit

Vista keeps showing that my network coverage is "Local Only", but when I checked this up at my router configuration page (192.168.1.1) , i noticed that my router had connected to the internet, but my computer still showing "Local Only". As a result, my router is connected to Streamyx but I can't browse internet (shows that "Cannot find server")

Sometimes it is connectable but most of the time it is failed. I kept trying reset modem, reconfiguration, I even tried to start some of the services that related to the internet connection, but none of them works.

At last i decided to stop DHCP server and assign the IP address myself, and it works. It is very strange that I myself could not find out the problem. Is there anyone know what my computer suffering ? Thanks.
