CSS freeze + sound loop

Hi all,

I'm currently using Acer's 4741g laptop to play counter strike source.

On random occasions in the game, the screen will freeze for a couple of seconds with the last sound played looping. Things are back to normal after that period of time. It even happened when I was only at the main menu of css!

I'm running windows 7 home premium 64 bit with geforce 310m. One interesting fact is my friend's lenovo laptop which has identical specs has no problem at all running css.

Any ideas gurus?

[WTA] Offered JPA accounting @ MMU

Hi all,

I've been offer by JPA a scholarship to study accounting @ MMU.

I have several questions to ask after reading through almost all(if not all) the threads regarding MMU and accounting:

1. Upon graduation, I will be bonded with the government for a few years(not sure how long yet). If I am to continue to do ACCA and passed the professional level, will my working experience with the government be recognised by ACCA in order for me to obtain the ACCA status after at least 3 years?

2. What is the exact number of papers will I be exempted should I take up ACCA upon graduation? And what is the approximate time frame for me to complete ACCA professional level on a part time basis?

3. Let's say I've completed my bond with the government. I am now a MIA member and I would like to go private. Where do I stand with a degree compared to those who have ACCA qualification?

Thanks in advance!!

Software To Use For Photo Presentation

Hi all,

I am currently searching a software that can make photo presentation in an interesting way, unlike Microsoft PowerPoint. Is there any software that works in that manner?

P.S. Photo caption and variety in slide transition is a must, as I'm presenting my photos to my friends and relatives

Thanks a lot in advance!

Music Playback Problem

Hi,

I've just installed Windows Vista 2 days ago and everything went extremely fine except for the music playback.

Here's the case:
I'm using VIA motherboard built-in AC'97 sound card. When I attempt to play a music file (MP3),the song tend to sound as if someone was tuning the volume up and down simultaneously.I have a strong feeling that this matter has something to do with VBR encoded files as other CBR encoded music files weren't much affected.

I've tried to install the Vista codec pack from www.freecodec.com but things just don't change for the better.

I have flawless music playback regardless of the file types and encoding back in Windows XP.What can I do to solve this problem?Thank you very much in advance!

BT Issue

I'm having a problem with my BitTorrent service.Every time when I started a torrent download,I get a stable speed of at least 30++kB/s.But this condition doesn't last long.It lasted for a miserable 30 minutes before the download speed dropped to 0 kB/s.Things are fine again for another 30 minutes after I've restarted the modem and BT client. How can I solve this problem? It is very annoying especially when I'm downloading files that are up to gigabytes as I can't spend my sweet time restarting the modem every 30 minutes.Thank you very much for your help! smile.gif
