Dear all,

It's time to change gear oil. I am thinking of trying out the Torco GL5 80w90..one question though, can it be used on a satria neo campro?

I read the car manual, it says the recommended gear oil is 75w90 and GL4...the Torco RGO is GL5.

Im totally noob in this...can anyone assist?

Otherwise I go for redline..

Hello all sifus,

It's time to change tyres soon. Should I go for the RE002 or KU36?

I been reading a lot about the KU36 and apparently it enjoys a lot of good reviews. Sidewall is stiff, offers good grip in both wet and dry.

As for the Potenzas, I always want to try the out. But I've been told that they are the more expensive one.

So which one offers the better grip - in dry ? - and - in wet ? -

What about threadwear? Also the costs?

Delay in receiving e-mail

Dear all,

During my first few months of using my blackberry, it receives e-mail almost instantaneously. For an instance, when I'm sitting in front of my PC in office, my blackberry will receive e-mail notification even before the e-mail shows up on my Live Mail.

However, things have changed lately. the e-mail would take up to 12 minutes before reaching my blackberry. As for hotmail, it can take up to 13 minutes.

Seriously, I am very disappointed about this. I thought blackberry's e-mail is supposed to be top notch, right? afterall, I got my blackberry for its e-mail capability and as a messaging tool. Having said that, I believe that such delays are caused by Digi....so frustrating.

Can anyone help me?

Hi guys,

I am a humble car owner who takes pride in cleaning and maintaining my own car. I have used various car detailing products ranging from Perma Glass, Turtle Wax, Sonax and recently meguairs. To be exact, I am using the NXT car wash.

The thing is, I don't see what's so special about meguairs...it's pricey, and cleans just like other shampoo that i've used. If you ask me, I prefer the Sonax Gloss Shampoo...

So want to hear from you meguairs fan boy

Phone casing not closed properly?

Dear all,

I just noticed something about my blackberry. There is some minor gap at the right side of my blackberry where i can see through the inner light of the phone. Im so sorry, due to my poor language, I let my picture do the talking, after all...picture speak a thousand words.

In the picture, I have circled the part which I am talking about. I went back to the place I bought the phone and asked and I was informed that it is not normal. The shop salesman advised me to go back to brightstar.

I am going to do so next week but has anyone faced this issue before?

I wonder if this can be repaired easily?

LED light keeps blinking

Dear all,

my blackberry's LED light keep blinking even though i have cleared all notifications. I noticed that it only happens when i receive whatsapp messages. So I turned off the LED notification for whatsapp. Then when i receive whatsapp notification, my LED didn't blink. I'm happy with it...

But sometimes, the LED blinks. And it stays that way until i receive the next (or several sometimes) notifications.

Anyone know what is going on?

Dear all,

my boss gave me a set of blackberry tour 8630 verizon. I signed up digismart plan but until now no data plan and BIS. In this regard, digi people told me that there's very slim chance that the phone can use data plan and BIS coz it's not a local set.

Hence I would be extremely grateful if anyone here can tell me, is the above true? Is there really no hope for the phone?

The Digi did say that my last resort is to send to blackberry specialist to configure the phone, maybe still got 50-50 chance.

How much to repair trackball?

Dear all,

I just got a used blackberry bold 9650 from my boss (just joined a new place). I just changed the battery as it was faulty but now the problem is, the trackball has some issues. First of all, it's a bit jumpy in the sense that i don't feel that it's too accurate...secondly, i cannot scroll left AT ALL

Im now thinking to repair that thing but not sure how much it'll cost...if it doesn't cost much, then I don't mind spending some $$ la...otherwise, dont want to waste money lo

Everco Exhaust?

Hello everyone,

I'm driving a satria neo campro.

I went to everco exhaust shop earlier today. They are selling aluminized steel exhaust and the price is very reasonable compare to other brands, say hotbits / superstreet. Performance wise, the aluminized steel exhaust seems to be on par if not better. Dyno chart shows 7whp-10whp gain which is quite encouraging. The best part is, it's priced around RM1.3k for the full system. Some exhaust these days costs close to RM2k mark.

The only thing is that, apart from the tail muffler, the extractor and midpipe are all made of aluminized steel. I'm just wondering if aluminized steel is inferior compare to stainless steel? Everco said that the durability of their exhaust is awesome though.

Anybody using their exhaust? care to share your experience?

Question on Turtle Wax ICE Liquid Polish

Dear all,

I hope this is the right place to post this thread. My Turtle Wax super hard shell wax is going to finish soon and I'm looking around for a new wax. Seriously, I'm not a fan of removing the wax because of the dust. If not careful, the dust will stick everywhere and it's quick tricky to remove.

From the above, you all can tell that I'm no pro-detailer
I came across this Turtle Wax Ice Liquid polish in the supermarket. I was a little moved by their advertisement. If that product works as advertised, it's the perfect product for me.

My question is, this ICE liquid polish is a wax or polish? I know the bottle is 'liquid polish' but the advertisement said "stop waxing and start icing". Besides, there is a side by side comparison between the liquid polish and a conventional wax. I thought that if it is a polish, then why compare with wax? it should be compared with another polish.
Lastly, I also read from their website that the polish contains wax.

So I'm a little confused. If i use this product, do i have to wax the car? or is it two in 1? If it is a polish, then I need to buy another wax so it may not be worthwhile.
Also, Turtle Wax ICE doesn't have any 'wax'.

Please enlighten.

JPJ to look into vehicles with TV sets

BUTTERWORTH: The Road Transport Department is looking into the possibility of amending the Road Transport Act to fine motorists who fix television screens and DVD players in their vehicles.

State Road Transport Department (JPJ) director Datuk Hassan Yaacob said an amendment could be made under Section 66 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for making vehicle alterations without permission.

“It is illegal and dangerous to fix these accessories. A driver can easily get distracted and it may result in accidents,’’ he said.

Hassan said enforcement teams would check if vehicles had complied with approved specifications.

“Those with xenon headlights will be fined RM300 while vehicles with fancy number plates will be fined RM120.

“In the end, they waste money by paying thrice – fixing the parts, paying the fine and paying again to remove them,” he said.

Hassan was commenting on the increasing number of motorists fixing televisions and DVD player sets in their vehicles.

On vehicles that are factory fitted with DVD players and GPS navigators, he said the department would have to look into it.

My experience switching to RON95 fron RON97

Dear all LYN forumers,

I wish to relate my experience. I am driving a satria neo 1.6 campro and I have been pumping Shell V-Power from day 1. Due to the price increase of RON97, I decided to make a switch to RON95. After 2 full tanks, my car feels weird. The engine seems sluggish and it feels quite rough. I am not sure if i'm the only one who shares the same feeling. I have been doing some reading on the internet about the difference between ron95 and ron97, based on my very limited understanding, I don't think there is bound to be any difference in performance between the two petrol.

Could it be due to the fuel additives? or is it just in my mind?

I am constantly harassed by a mentally challenged person who keep sending me annoying/false/threatening SMSes. Sometimes, it could get up to 30 messages a day. I am getting rather tired of all this. Is there anyway I can block her number?

I am using a blackberry and is on maxis.
I have considered changing number but it is too much hassle.

HELP Broken Keyboard

Hello,

Recently, a book feel on my keyboard and it snap off the Right Shift button
I took it to a local shop to try and get it repaired and apparently, he said that there is no way to get it done apart from changing the whole keyboard. Can anyone help? is there anyway to fix it without changing the whole keyboard?
Btw, the plastic connectors are in tact, it's just that the hinges at the back of the SHIFT key is broken. I am totally clueless.

Would appreciate if anyone can share some light.
