Hi all,

I have one Acer TravelMate TimelineX 4830TG for the past 3 years. The specs as below:-

Thinking to install one 120GB SSD in DVD optical drive and get another one stick of DDR3 4GB RAM (total 8GB). This would cost me around RM500. I wonder if this would have any significant increase to my laptop speed especially when using Photoshop CS6.

or Should I getting new laptop? Currently eye on Dell Inspiron 7447. But this one would cost me a bomb RM3500 (after upgrading to 8GB RAM).

So which one I should go?

Hi, last week my mobo die. Not sure what is the reason. Now want to buy a new mobo.

Since I'm changing to new mobo, might as well change my processor. Currently I'm using i5 3570k but have not clocking my processor since day 1 bought it. Plan to change to non-K processor.

I'm using my PC for browsing, picture editing and video compressing.

PC frequently restart

Hi all. I'm using Intel Core i5 3570K and Asrock z77 Pro3 for about 2 months.

I realize all this time Asrock's AXTU tuned my CPU to only run a maximum at 1600MHz. I try to clock my CPU using Asrock's AXTU in windows at 3400MHz. I run through prime 95 torture test (maximum heat test) for overnight and nothing happened. The maximum temperature is 82C at one of the core. But when I try to run game at 3.4GHz, PC restart itself and keep ON and OFF (can hear fan swinging but nothing showing at monitor) for few times before can boot normally.

The next step is I try load to the default EUFI setting. I can load windows normally but when I try to run prime95, PC restart itself.

I'm using default HSF from Intel. I guess by using i5-3570k, I should be able to run to 3400MHz without 3rd party HSF right?

HDD: Seagate 750GB and WD 500GB (green)
GPU: Nvidia 9600GT

1. What really frustrate me is the boot time. Took at least ~~3 minutes~~4 minutes even after turn off few startup application. Is upgrading to SSD will improve my boot time?

2. Some program like Photoshop CS6 takes ~~1.5mins to 3mins~~ 1 minute to open. Is that a normal with my setup?

3. What is the limitation on my current rig? I would like to improve on that one. Is OC my CPU will improve overall performance?

First occurence of problem: Since last week
Problem description: Im having problem to upload file from my PC to social network specifically facebook and my gmail. I only have this problem with my house PC. nowadays if I want to attach something to my gmail or upload pics to facebook account, I have to use office PC. To upload pics to facebook I need to use picasa uploader to upload to my facebook account. Can someone help me on this.
