Tiger Seeking Musang King

https://www.thestar.com.my/news/true-or-not...chard-in-chemor

QuickCheck: Did a tiger show up at a durian orchard in Chemor?

We Malaysians love durian. Many are flocking to get their hands on the delicious delicacy, especially during the current durian season with lower-than-usual prices.

However, the love for durian may not be limited to just us humans, as a video has gone viral showing a tiger showing up at a durian orchard in Bukit Kinding, Chemor, Perak.

So did Malaysia's king of the jungle really show up at an orchard growing the king of fruits, as seen on the video?

According to Sinar Harian, the video was shared by a member of the Perak Malayan Tiger Conservation Unit (UKHM).

The video was recorded around 10.30am on Sunday (Jan 11), where UKHM team members were responding to a complaint of a tiger sighting.

In the video, a UKHM member can be heard urgently telling a member of the public to run to a nearby vehicle as the tiger slowly approaches. The member backed off slowly while using a branch to dissuade the wild predator from charging at them.

A few tense minutes later, the member manages to get into the safety of a four-wheel drive. No one was hurt in the close encounter.

It is learned that the tiger in the video is the same tiger that was later successfully captured by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) in Bukit Kinding.

The tiger is said to be two years old and weighs 75kg. It is healthy and stable, and has been sent to the National Wildlife Rescue Centre in Sungkai.

Maybe it just had a craving for some Musang King.

[fb]https://www.facebook.com/reel/915841664431527[/fb]

[fb]https://www.facebook.com/reel/1180625654254697[/fb]

Verified true, and dayum scary.
Promotion Relegation Race.

Its that time of the season again, where the top half is forgotten for a brief moment and what happens on the lower area comes to view.

Kick off the battle with the promotion race. Currently about 8 teams are within touching distance of each other between position 1-8.

Top 2 as of week 41 is Southampton (1), Reading(2) with 79 pts

3rd is big sam's Hammers on 75 pts

4th Birmingham 69 pts
5th Blackpool 66 pts
6th Cardiff City 64 pts

and Brighton, Middlesbrough on 7th and 8th with 63 pts

You know the drill, top 2 auto promotion, 3-6 play-offs. As how things are the top 3 is likely to battle it out for the 1st and 2nd and among them 1 will fall short and get a 2nd bite at the cherry, and its anybody's guess who will take the championship.

its more stiffer and closer as we move to 4th to 8th where each team has a realistic chance of getting themselves in that play-off position.

Now matches, each of the 8 rather have matches in-between them and could swing on any teams favour.

Southampton:
Crystal Palace v Southampton
Southampton v Reading
Peterborough United v Southampton
Middlesbroughh v Southampton
Southampton v Coventry City

Reading
Brighton v Reading
Southampton v Reading
Reading v Nottingham Forest
Reading v Crystal Palace
Birmingham v Reading

West Ham United
West Ham United v Birmingham
West Ham United v Brighton
Bristol City v West Ham United
Leicester City v West Ham United
West Ham United v Hull City

Birmingham
West Ham United v Birmingham
Birmingham v Bristol City
Ipswich Town v Birmingham
Brighton v Birmingham
Birmingham v Reading

Brighton
Brighton v Reading
West Ham United v Brighton
Brighton v Watford
Brighton v Birmingham
Barnsley v Brighton

Middlesbrough
Hull City v Middlesbrough
Derby County v Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough v Doncaster Rovers
Middlesbrough v Southampton
Watford v Middlesbrough

Should make up for an interesting run in. Love to see tangerines back in top flight or Brighton for that matter as its been a good 30 years since they last came in to the top flight.(held united to fa cup final replay on 82' and relegated that very same year)but it will be tough. As for the rest of the contenders they all have been in and out of the Premier League down the years.

========================================================================================================================

Relegation.

After last weekends results up and down the league.Still touch and go with only wolves quite having a big margin to catch up at the root of the table while 19-16 all are within 1/2 pts of each other. Will it be as last season when the teams were exchanging places as the min of the games are being run down on the final day??

The contenders(could change to include villa depending on how they do in their remaining matches):
Wolves, Wigan, Rovers, Rangers, Bolton.Among these wolves and Wigan have the toughest lot of 6 games with 3/4 opponents of the top half teams.Bolton have a game in hand(vs villa). The plot thickens as we reach a conclusion on both end of the table in the league and championship.

who will get to the promised land?who will stay in the promised land?and who will be parachuted down for a season or more down the 2nd tier of the English football landscape.

QUOTE

Petrov suffering from leukaemia

Aston Villa have announced that midfielder Stiliyan Petrov is suffering from acute leukaemia.

Villa captain Petrov, 32, has made 30 appearances for the club this season in all competitions and most recently featured in Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Arsenal, but reported that he was feeling unwell in the aftermath of the game.

A club statement read: "The Villa board received news today that our long-standing captain Stiliyan Petrov has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia.

"Stiliyan developed a fever following the Arsenal game last Saturday and subsequently underwent tests. Haematology experts confirmed the diagnosis today.

"We expect to learn more about Stiliyan's situation in due course and we have moved quickly to support him and his family. During this time we ask that Stiliyan's privacy is placed ahead of all inquiries and trust that we will share information as we receive it.

"Stiliyan is cherished by many and he will get from Villa every ounce of love and support that we have to help bring this to a positive conclusion."

The announcement brought an immediate outpouring of support for Petrov, with Celtic manager and former Hoops team-mate Neil Lennon among those taking to Twitter.

"Absolutely inconsolable here regarding Stilian," Lennon Tweeted. "He will overcome this like all the other barriers he faced in his life.

"Stilian has the heart of a lion and as part of the Celtic family he deserves all our best wishes and support."

man....im a bit speechless....

Which team you want see in Epl Next season?

2 games left in the championship league, Newcastle already winners of the championship and wba already securing the 2nd place wth an automatic qualification its now just down to who gets to play in the play offs and securing that 1 last spot to the big league; EPl.

practically the above 5 teams have a chance to qualify for the Promotion Play-off and any of them could win that play-offs.so here's a poll for all the fans out there, who do you want to see be the last team to be promoted??

personally i would like to see the bluebirds(Cardiff City) back in the top tier of english football.the last time they were in top flight was in the old division 1 era back in 62' and thats almost 48 years of absences!!, and after that they were bouncing of between the 2nd and 4th division and up to recent the championship league. It will be good to see the old' clubs still surviving in today's competitive world as once they were the power house of british football.

the championship table as of this week:1, 2 securing auto promotion while 3-6 battle in the playoffs.

1 Newcastle United (98 pts champions, promoted)
2 West Bromwich Albion (89 pts, promoted)

3 Nottingham Forest (75 pts)
4 Cardiff City (73 pts)
5 Leicester City (70 pts)
6 Swansea City (68 pts)

7 Blackpool (66 pts)

as you can see the 5 teams are not separated that much and any 4 of them can qualify for the play-offs and battle it out.

who will be your pick??
