QuickCheck: Did a tiger show up at a durian orchard in Chemor?

We Malaysians love durian. Many are flocking to get their hands on the delicious delicacy, especially during the current durian season with lower-than-usual prices.

However, the love for durian may not be limited to just us humans, as a video has gone viral showing a tiger showing up at a durian orchard in Bukit Kinding, Chemor, Perak.

So did Malaysia's king of the jungle really show up at an orchard growing the king of fruits, as seen on the video?

According to Sinar Harian, the video was shared by a member of the Perak Malayan Tiger Conservation Unit (UKHM).

The video was recorded around 10.30am on Sunday (Jan 11), where UKHM team members were responding to a complaint of a tiger sighting.

In the video, a UKHM member can be heard urgently telling a member of the public to run to a nearby vehicle as the tiger slowly approaches. The member backed off slowly while using a branch to dissuade the wild predator from charging at them.

A few tense minutes later, the member manages to get into the safety of a four-wheel drive. No one was hurt in the close encounter.

It is learned that the tiger in the video is the same tiger that was later successfully captured by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) in Bukit Kinding.

The tiger is said to be two years old and weighs 75kg. It is healthy and stable, and has been sent to the National Wildlife Rescue Centre in Sungkai.

Maybe it just had a craving for some Musang King.

Promotion Relegation Race.

Its that time of the season again, where the top half is forgotten for a brief moment and what happens on the lower area comes to view.

Kick off the battle with the promotion race. Currently about 8 teams are within touching distance of each other between position 1-8.

Top 2 as of week 41 is Southampton (1), Reading(2) with 79 pts

3rd is big sam's Hammers on 75 pts

4th Birmingham 69 pts
5th Blackpool 66 pts
6th Cardiff City 64 pts

and Brighton, Middlesbrough on 7th and 8th with 63 pts

You know the drill, top 2 auto promotion, 3-6 play-offs. As how things are the top 3 is likely to battle it out for the 1st and 2nd and among them 1 will fall short and get a 2nd bite at the cherry, and its anybody's guess who will take the championship.

its more stiffer and closer as we move to 4th to 8th where each team has a realistic chance of getting themselves in that play-off position.

Now matches, each of the 8 rather have matches in-between them and could swing on any teams favour.

The reigning champions Spain will be placed in Pot 1, together with the Netherlands, the team with the highest national team coefficient, as established at the conclusion of the play-off matches.

hi guys i have some question about housing loans.

there is property that im really interested in bandar tun hussein on wch could roughly cost about 870,000

first of all is it possible to get up to 90%(80% some thing also would be great) loan for the proposed property and also is it possible to get the loan period around 35 years or more?(maybe 40 years) also is is possible to target a monthly payment of 3500 for the loan??.roughly what im try to say is can i still buy the house if i can manage only to pay about 3500 monthly instalments.

my second question is there any option like a 2 generation loan or some thing like me and my partner taking up the same loan.

hello pet lovers of lyn.yesterday my house was visited by a collar dove which oddly was very friendly and even approachable.

today it appeared again but unfortunately, my cat got hold of it and my mother noticed it and saved it from being its lunch, but the sad part is right now its legs seems like injured i am unsure what to do nor do i know what kind of food it feeds on.almost all of its tail feathers have been plucked out by my cat.another positive thing is that i havent noticed any bleeding or wounds on it.

so if any one with bird rearing experience please do help me.what type of food can i buy and where.if there is a clinic or some where i can take it for check up would also be helpful. by the way im staying at bt 9 cheras.

2 games left in the championship league, Newcastle already winners of the championship and wba already securing the 2nd place wth an automatic qualification its now just down to who gets to play in the play offs and securing that 1 last spot to the big league; EPl.

practically the above 5 teams have a chance to qualify for the Promotion Play-off and any of them could win that play-offs.so here's a poll for all the fans out there, who do you want to see be the last team to be promoted??

personally i would like to see the bluebirds(Cardiff City) back in the top tier of english football.the last time they were in top flight was in the old division 1 era back in 62' and thats almost 48 years of absences!!, and after that they were bouncing of between the 2nd and 4th division and up to recent the championship league.It will be good to see the old' clubs still surviving in today's competitive world as once they were the power house of british football.

the championship table as of this week:1, 2 securing auto promotion while 3-6 battle in the playoffs.
