2TB NVME SSD recommendation as storage/game drive

Hi sifus.. am looking to fill my 2nd m.2 slot with a 2TB ssd for storage and games. Been looking at adata sx8200 pro but updated reviews have been saying the components inside have been changed to suck now? So am also considering the WD SN570 as read/write speed seems to be roughly similar and is also about rm100 cheaper.

Understand that it's overkill to use NVME for storage but got the slot might as well use it and have files saved faster. Have a Kingston KC3000 as 1st/boot drive.
Hoping sifus can recommend one around the price range of 500~600 ish.

Looking for a mobo LGA 1150 preferably H97M, or a B85M board with 1 PCI slot as I have an old PCI sound card that I still want to use. Compatible with Intel Xeon E3 1231 v3. Budget ~RM200. Preferably COD KL.

Probably shorted my mobo while trying to upgrade something. Seems like it's dead so looking for replacement. Hopefully CPU didn't die. But if it did offer me your LGA 1150 i5 or better CPU as well. Budget there probably ~RM400

Lenovo G50-70 Upgrade Help pliss

Hi Sifus

I have a Lenovo G50-70 that's running a i3-4030U, 2GB DRR3L 1600MHz and a 500GB WD Blue. Am trying to speed it up as the user is complaining that it is slow while is unwilling to reformat it cause of the files inside and unwilling to fork out to get a new laptop which I agree with the latter as the usage is just for spreadsheets, word, PDF, MYOB and YouTube/Light web browsing.

So...it has 2 RAM slots but is only using 1 so am thinking of upgrading the RAM to either a total of 4GB (2+2) or 6GB (2+4) or remove the current 2GB stick and make it 8GB (4x2). Am looking at just doing the 6GB to reduce costs and have at least more than the usual 4GB.

Now for SSD. Initially I was looking at the Apacer AS340 240GB since I found it selling quite cheap on Lazada but I guess it's DRAMless? And reading posts around here, people be saying DRAMless SSD = u die soon burn in hell. So just wondering what are the cheapest ~250GB SSD 2.5 with DRAM in the market.

TLDR:
I want upgrade/speed up laptop
- Current RAM 2GB -----> 4/6/8GB? Am looking at 6GB as IMO seems like best cost-to-performance among options.
- HDD ---> SSD. Looking at Apacer AS340 but it's DRAMless maybe? So do I YOLO and go for it? Or get cheapest ~250GB SSD 2.5 with DRAM?

Hi sifus sekalian.

I'm just wondering if this happens to anyone other than me and how you overcome it.

Quite often there are certain websites that just won't load (not talking hamsap stuff la), at the moment I'm trying to connect to Epic Games Launcher and the bloody launcher just won't load, masuk the website also won't load, same with GOG website and GOG Galaxy Launcher, but other game launchers like Steam and Battlenet all fine. Other times I google questions and masuk Quora.com also got problem, and other times reddit can't. Sometimes a day or two and suddenly I can load those websites again but sometimes for like a month. This happens for my entire house internet, as in on my PC this happens, use phone connected to wifi also same, pages just won't load. But on my phone when I'm using mobile data (Maxis) the webpages load, so pretty sure it's my internet problem. There's an access point setup by my brother but the wifi is under a different name, so when I'm connected to that the outcome sometimes same as main router wifi but sometimes things can load, though it's also like quite uncertain since sometimes can load sometimes cannot.

My DNS already changed to Google's 8.8.8.8 but still like this, only thing I haven't tried is rebooting router which I find it strange since I just rebooted it like 2 days ago cause there were other websites that weren't loading at that time also, so I rebooted and now got lagi again other websites can't load..damn sien man honestly maybe my face got problem..my internet package is Unifi 100Mbps btw if that helps.

I'm dumb so wanna ask everyone here...
If I were to get any router for less than RM100, can I connect it to my main router and use it as a WiFi extender and use its ports to connect to my PC and console? And will the speed be slower?

I was initially looking at a powerline adapter but damn ex all those especially if want multiple ports, and people mentioning all the single phase 3 phase blabla I lost liao. So was just thinking if a router can solve my headache. San q sekalian.

So recently my Palit GTX 970 Jetstream's mHDMI port stopped working, I guess? It gets detected but no display on screen. All this while, I've been using a mHDMI - HDMI converter with a HDMI cable to my TV (as second monitor). But up to the few weeks before it stopped working, there were some red lines appearing once in a while.

I've also tried connecting it to my main monitor (only has DVI and D-Sub ports) using the mHDMI - HDMI converter with a HDMI cable to a HDMI - DVI converter. There is display but with artifacts.

Few days back, I bought a mHDMI - VGA converter to try it on my main monitor and TV's PC input but both displays won't even get detected.

The DVI port on the graphic card however, works flawlessly. There are also 3 mini-DisplayPorts but both my monitor and TV don't have any DisplayPort inputs, so I can't test them out. Anyway, what I'm just wondering is if the converters are faulty or if there's something wrong with the card.

Left PC on, heavy rain, thunder..now can't on....power surged plug point also failed...
Tried the PSU paper clip test and it seemed like it worked, so now could any be other part that's damaged but no idea how to check. Will be sending it to check but I'm speculating and hoping it's the motherboard. So just wondering what motherboard I should go for since if it's dead GPU/CPU, I die along and if it's RAM, then just buy again.

Aiyoyo..don't know which to get..was planning to get 850 EVO 250GB for RM500, but RM500..heart ache sial!
So look to the 850 EVO 120GB (RM310) vs 850 PRO 128GB (RM390)....which still quite heart ache..and I'm afraid if it's too small, I'll max it out quick..
Definitely can't go for 850 PRO 256GB cause that's easily RM650++
Will be using SSD as the boot drive and where I install games and stuff..though if the capacity ~120GB, like only can install 1 BIG AAA game
I have another 2 500GB hard drives for storing files so SSD will be used only for application and games
Anyway, which would you guys recommend between the 3 SSDs stated above?
