As topic above, is it possible to recover admin password in windows server 2008 without using any 3rd party software? maybe by using the cd installation. most solutions i get from google required 3rd party software. i wonder if we can just do it using the installation cd. pls share your opinions thank you.

as per topic, is it possible to have 1 hosting account in 2 different server? the purpose is to avoid any downtime on the web and email hosting. if yes please advice how.

currently i have a hosting account with exabytes and the website and email is having problem now with its slow connection. it effected our incoming emails. its happened several times within these few months and today seems to be the worst where its been 3-4 hours already with that slow connection problem.

so i want maybe if i can get another server as backup for my web and email hosting, just in case the exabyte website is down again.

im looking for a software that can monitor email activities such as incoming and outgoing email, espcially for webmail. I have found one, Silentmail, which i had fully tested and satisfied, but this one can only use on Microsoft Outlook. Im looking for one that can monitor web based email as well, such as yahoo and hotmail. pls recommend, thank you.

Windows server 2008

i am using Windows server 2008 with active directory installed and dns. and now i want to do file and folder sharing, and folder permission with my users. funny thing is, when i set access to user A, user B cannot see the folder at all. is this normal in windows server 2008. becoz in windows server 2003, we still can see the folder even though we do not have access to that folder. when we tried to access it, it will give error of permission denied.

BSOD after login to windows

my notebook suddenly get BSOD today, after entering Windows OS for a while. after getting the BSOD, it will restart automatically. then every time after loading windows, it will get BSOD and restarted. i cannot do anything, backup files, do system restore, etc.

my last solution was, reformat the windows, and no more BSOD. and lost all my files in My Documents.

and just now, a friend of mine get the same problem as me. and i am about to reformat his notebook as well.

anyone got the same problem? do u guys have other better solution?

im using my notebook with microsoft outlook to send/receive my email.

and now i have blackberry.

what options do i have to get my email send/receive to both my notebook and my blackberry? pls advise.

for your info, i already tried to configure it myself it looks working last nite, where i can receive email on both my notebook and blackberry. strange things happen this morning where i only receive email on my blackberry, while nothing on my notebook. it looks like my blackberry took all the emails from the mail server, same like what outlook does.

partitioning an external hard disk

My question is, is it possible to create another partition for my files and relocate these software and apps in other partition? can Vista disk management do the partition job?
