Aerial Videography with DJI Phantom 3

Here's are my impressions of the Phantom 3 Advance after owning for 2 weeks.

Before this I had a Walkera Q350 Pro and this will probably be the baseline for my comparison.

The DJI Phantom 3 is very well made. Unboxing it you find that every thing is well though out. e.g. there is a gimbal holding bracket for transporting, you don't see any lose wires or expose wires, they provide a spare set of propellers in a convenient bag, the props are self locking and color coded for installation. The camera comes with a 16GB Lexar micro SD card.

After watching a few youtube training videos online I felt confident enough to give it a test flight indoors.
downloaded the DJI Phantom App, plugged in my Android Galaxy tab and everything worked flawlessly. I did a calibration on the tablet I saw the indication the the Phantom was ready to fly.

As you can see the Phantom 3 is very stable indoors. this stability can be credited to DJI's Visual Position System (VPS) which has a ultrasonic sensors to measure height and a downward facing camera to get a positional fix from the floor.

Real test of the Phantom 3 drone was recently at an Indian wedding in Chinatown KL. Despite being right downtown I was able to get a GPS lock and safely launch the drone from the side of the road. Having used gopro4 cameras on my previous quad copter I am really impressed by the image quality of the DJI camera as well as the rock solid stability of the gimbal. As you can see from the posted footage everything is straight of of the camera and there was no need to perform post color edited or stabilisation. You can see postings from my previous flight with my Walkera at Aerial Photo and you can see very marked differences in image quality and overall stability of the footage

Overall I am really impressed with the performance of the DJI Phantom 3 and I would say that it is currently the best quad copter in the market under RM4,000.

Auto Interior dashboard Lamination

As long as you have any hard plastic parts which are detachable, those parts can be laminated to look like Carbon Fibre or real wood.
