Looking for reading tablet

Hi guys, i am a student and looking for a tablet which is suitable for reading only. I don't need other sophisticated application. I came across some cheap tablet in pc expo recently (i dont know the brands) which cost rm200-400. Are they reliable? Or i should go for apple, samsung tablets?

Help on Chinese Words Display on Windows

The display of chinese words in my windows are "·¶ÒÝ³¼,ÒÀÈ»·¶ÌØÎ÷"and sometimes "?????".
Can anyone enlighten me how to correct this problem? BTW, I'm using Windows Vista.
