A massive data breach has exposed over 16 billion passwords online, making it one of the biggest security leaks in internet history. According to reports by Cybernews and Forbes, this leak poses a significant risk to the personal data of millions of users and could lead to widespread phishing scams, identity theft, and account hacking globally.

Security researchers say this isn't just an old dump of data that's been floating around for years. Most of the leaked credentials are said to be new, well-organised, and collected through a type of malware known as infostealers. These malware programs silently steal usernames and passwords from people's devices and send them to hackers, who either use them directly or put them up for sale on dark web forums.

Ipoh: Lapan anggota Unit Simpanan Persekutuan (FRU) maut dalam satu kemalangan jalan raya di Jalan Chikus-Sungai Lampam, Teluk Intan.

Pengarah Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Perak, Sayani Saidon, memaklumkan kejadian itu membabitkan sebuah lori membawa muatan batu dan sebuah kenderaan FRU yang membawa 15 anggota termasuk pemandu.

Beliau berkata yang insiden terbabit berlaku sekitar jam 8.30 pagi tadi.

"Bagaimanapun, jika mahkamah mahu menawarkan jaminan, pihak pendakwaan memohon jaminan sebanyak RM15,000 dikenakan ke atas tertuduh dengan seorang penjamin selain tertuduh perlu melapor diri ke balai polis berhampiran," katanya.

Tertuduh kemudian membuat rayuan supaya jumlah jaminan dikurangkan berikutan beliau tidak bekerja.

"Saya baru datang ke Johor Bahru dari Sarawak dan tiada pekerjaan. Saya juga menumpang di rumah anak perempuan," katanya.

Mahkamah kemudian memerintahkan tertuduh dijamin sebanyak RM6,000 dengan seorang penjamin.

Sebutan semula kes ditetapkan pada 25 Mei nanti bagi penyerahan dokumen.

Hence we arrive at a 20-fold reduction in risk when hanging out with a vaccinated person compared to someone who’s not vaccinated.

Stanley Yeong is one of them.

Yeong recently posted about his experience of raising his Malay-Muslim foster daughter since she was nine.

The girl is now a married woman.

The note, which Yeong had put up on his Facebook page recently, starts off with "Today, I picked up enough courage to share one of my secrets.

"It was an anticipated visit from my foster daughter Hayati Abdullah, her husband and her in-laws all the way from Kelantan.

"It's been a long journey for Yati. Tragedy struck when Yati lost both her parents in a road accident in Kelantan when she was nine.

"Her late father Sudin was a handy man when I laid the pipeline to supply clean water from Jerantut river towards Taman Negara many years ago," he posted.

In fostering Yati, Yeong looked into her well-being, welfare and finances.

"Her residential care and education were first priority.

"When she turned 12, we have difficulties in getting her an identity card as her parents never registered her birth. With help from a senior police officer friend in Tumpat and a village head, we took two years to register with the name Hayati binti Abdullah," he posted.

Today, Yati is happily married and runs a food catering business with her in-laws in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

"It took me hours deliberating whether to share this secret of mine. I thought that I should and since Yati is here with me, I could write this story so that others who read this could be encouraged and be touched to emulate this.

"It would also bring positive thoughts and change in the present tense situation facing Malaysia with extremist views threatening peace and harmony."

He expressed hope that people who read the posting would be moved to spread goodwill among the races.

"In humanity, we are to be colour blind. We are not to look at their religion or culture. We are all created by God. Therefore, let's foster this goodwill and friendship among the races and allow our wounds to heal, so that peace and harmony may prevail."

Such a moving story indeed. His post, put up late last month, has garnered close to 400 shares.

He definitely deserves more accolades and recognition for his act.

Yeong was in no way obligated to take Yati under his care when her parents died.

He could have let the difference in race stand in the way and let her be picked up by a foster home or her parents' relatives.

Yet, his humanity spoke louder and he took care of the orphaned child, right until she was big enough to fend for herself.

Even so, Yeong did not publicise his selfless act all these years, until he saw the need to tell everyone about it now. For that, he deserves kudos from all peace-loving Malaysians.

A timely move indeed, Malaysians need to be reminded that we have co-existed all along, and will continue to – be damned with provocateurs.

Every race that calls this nation home, forms pillars that holds up the nation to where it is today. For one race to try and knock down another is akin to removing one leg off a table - the structure will collapse.

Therefore, it is best to respect and cherish what we have and strive to maintain the status quo.
