Newbie buying guitar XD

Hi, I want to buy a guitar. i have never learn any other instrument before. so here's a few question im confused of
should i buy electric or acoustic one ? although i personally prefer electric one, are there any big difference?
what model is good for newbie like me ?
what is the price range?
what should i ask for when im buying guitar?
how to check guitar's condition whether it is good or used?
are there any shop you guys recommend ? [i live in kedah, so either penang or kedah only]

As the topic stated , I am requesting help from someone who has a good trading record in the past to help me cod in setapak (KL) in weekdays or subang (selangor ) in weekend . Seller dont want to use postage so if someone can help i will be grateful preferably someone who knows something about psp and can help me check on psp condition .

I want to buy a psp 2k from desktopcc , He said he will be able to cod with me in pulau tikus , penang . But he do not have a good record in his past . It's better to be careful . So , anyone who live near that area can help me to cod with him , and of course , if you want to collect some road fees , i understand if anyone can help , please do contact me asap .
