Error 53 on Ipad mini 3

Hey guys, I'm encountering error 53 on my ipad.
I have researched a fair bit, done that recovery mode restore, clean the registry, reinstall, bla bla bla... but still to no success of restoring my ipad.
How did I arrive at error 53? - I tried updating the ipad to 9.x (forgot which release). But right after the installation it got stuck at the dreaded 'connect to iTunes' screen.
Has anyone successfully overcome error 53? Or anyone knows someone who knows how to fix this? (or can at least try?)
I brought this back to Apple service centre 2 weeks back, they said your ipad is dead and you are screwed, and there's nothing they can do about it. Warranty doesn't cover this apparently.

Help me guys! Thanks!
Eric

It is very good for protecting your knees over the long run.

Some product description here:

Experience the best in total-body training with the ProForm 5.0 Crosstrainer treadmill.
[WTS/T] EHX Germanium Big Muff Pi - Price Reduced!

Hi guys,

I have up for sale an EHX Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi, made in USA.
Basically it is 2 pedals in 1, overdrive & distortion, each driven by 2 classic 60's germanium transistors for that warm tone. Whole lot of knobbies, whole lotta fun :-)
Stack one on the other, mix to your heart's content. Or engage either of them separately.
The Distortion channel as a 'Volts' knob that lets you dial in and simulate that weak / dying battery tone, really cool.

I'm looking for RM 350 (previously RM 400). Condition is 9.9/10. Comes complete with original box & manual. First come first served. COD around KLCC.
I got it brand new, so buyer will be the second proud owner.

Here is a quick pic for reference (I'll upload the actual pic soon, it's almost brand new):

Contact me for a quick deal, thanks guys!
Eric : 012-385-3742 / erictham7@gmail.com

Hey guys,

I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem.
When I receive emails from LYN notifying me of a PM, I could tap on the link from my iPhone (i have a 4s), it will then ask me to log in. The problem is, after keying in my username & password & tapping the 'login' button, it simply loads the log in screen again. And if I try to login again, it would still go back to the login screen...

I tried the desktop site (instead of the mobile site), same problem...

Any idea guys??
Hey guys, I was trying to install a software to my new iMac but after clicking the .dmg file and following the steps, I'm getting the error message "the installer can't install some files in /"... I need help on figuring out why I can't install in that particular location, whatever it is. I'm certainly the admin on this iMac.

When I installed this software on an older mac that I have, it was all fine; but it just simply refuse to install on this new iMac... :-(
I tried creating another user account and installing from there also... still the same error.

Any ideas guys??
Thanks!!

Hi guys,

If my question here sounds a bit stupid please forgive me ya, haha... Ok here we go.

4 Mbps - The fastest Streamyx broadband package available for subscription.
54 Mpbs - the transmission speed of the wireless G router.

Does this mean that a wireless G router will never be incapable (at least for the near future) of transmitting at the full speed of the broadband? (i.e. 4 Mbps)

And on the other hand, if someday down the road, an ISP is able to provide a service that goes beyond 54 Mbps (say 60 Mbps), I suppose my wireless router will cap the speed at 54 Mbps? (I know that having an N router would solve the problem...)

Thanks a lot!

Boss Space Echo (RE-20)

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone here uses the Boss Space Echo (RE-20)... I kinda' like the warm analog sound it produces but am wondering about the following:

1) Could it do different delay modes? (i.e. dotted quarters, triplets, etc)
2) Could the echo + reverb combo be played in different delay modes? (just like my 1st question, but now in combo mode)

Thanks guys!
Eric

Using accesories designed for american voltage?

Hey guys,

Are anyone of us using any (imported) american-made amps / pedalboards that is only designed to take in a 120V juice?
I suppose a power conditioner or something like it is necessary to adjust the voltage rite? Any idea where to get something like this?

I actually have a huge-ass one (almost 1' x 1/2' x 1/2') at home for my threadmill (Reebok, american made). Wonder if there is something similiar but smaller that I can use for musical instruments... need the portability.

Thank you all!

Hey guys,

Anyone here planning to take the FRM exam this year in Nov?
I wonder if there is any study group here around KL... Planning to sit for at least level 1 exam this Nov.
I already have the course pack (so damn thick), but don't have the FRM Handbook (the practice questions)... Any generous soul here don't mind 'sharing' with me your FRM handbook? :-)

Thanks!!

How do I make aclaim against Singaporean vehicle?

Hey guys,

I have a question on how to make a claim against a Singapore-registered vehicle. But first let me tell you the story...

I have a KL-registered Honda City & drove into Singapore recently to visit a friend. While driving there, I met with a rather unfortunate accident during a rainy day - a chain collision.

Driving behind me were 2 trucks (both singaporean-registered), the last truck (for some reason, maybe he was sleepy) rammed the truck infront of it; then both of them together rammed into my rear... Since I'm only on a Honda City (light vehicle), I was forced & pushed forward to knock the sedan infront of mine... So, total # of vehicles involved = 4, I was the second from the front. All vehicles were Singaporean-registered except for mind.

Because my Honda city was still under warranty, I drove it back to a Honda service center & let them handle the repairs & insurance claim.

Now here's the funny part:

Tokio Marine Insurance told me that I will have to make an OD claim (Own Damage) because for this chain-collision, the vehicle that knocked me is NOT a Malaysian-registered vehicle... They told me that if I want to recover damages from the owner of the last truck, I will have engage a lawyer to contact the singaporean insurer.

Anyone tried doing such a thing?
Can anyone share with me what I can do to recover my loss of NCD and loss of use from the party at fault? (are there any other things I can try to claim against the party at fault?)

Thanks a lot!!

HP Mini 1000 - Can't boot Windows..

Hi all,

2 days ago something very unfortunate happened to me... My cat pushed my HP Mini 1000 netbook off the coffee table, it fell approx 2.5 feet to the ground (not too high la), nothing broke / cracked, but it just won't boot Windows...

When I turn the netbook on, it shows the HP logo, then it goes on to show the Windows XP logo (with the progress bar running beneath), and then it flashes & the netbook would restart...

I called up HP tech support, they guided me on doing some test & changes to the BIOS but could not fix the problem. They told me to send the netbook to the HP service center, but very troublesome la... Somemore the netbook no more warranty already (14 months old). However, the technician did tell me that reinstalling Windows would solve the problem.

Can anyone advise me on what to do now?
This case is further complicated because the HP mini series don't have optical drives...

How to setup this kind of reference system?

Hey guys,

When I was studying in the US, I had the opportunity to play (the elec gtr) in the band with a large church. They have a stage reference system consisting of the below:
1) stage floor monitors (for overall reference, the ochestra, & the back-up singers)
2) headphones (for each band member, ranging from 8 to 10 of us)

Each time when the rehearsals are going on, the sound engineer will ask me if I could hear what I wanted to hear on my headphones. He was able to adjust the output to my headphones on my volume (of course) and the levels for hi-hats, bass drum, acoustic guitar, bass gtr, lead singer, etc individualy... so that the end result is the reference I needed for throughout the church service.
The sound engineer goes thru this process with each of the band member... so each one has a 'customized' output for their headphones.

So, what kind of hardware enables this kind of flexible reference?
Thanks.
