MT25 vs 249s vs Dominar 400 for newbie rider?

Hey Sifus!

I'm a newbie rider getting B-FULL soon.
I have a car for long distances and main transport.
Bike is mainly for urban riding within 5-10km daily with pillion rider half the time. To go kopitiam, go to work, gym etc to skip traffic.

I am looking for a 2nd hand bike and have narrowed down to:-
MT25 vs TNT249s vs Dominar 400

I have test-ridden all 3 but can't make a decision.
I like the mt25, but it is twice the price of the other 2 around Rm12k. Not sure if I should invest so much at the start and not too comfortable for pillion rider.
As for Benelli 249s vs Modenas Dominar 400 UG, they weigh about the same and price the same (6-7k). But dominar is much more powerful however 249s is slightly more nimble. Also 249s is twin cylinder so is smoother compared to single cylinder Dominar.

I'm thinking of getting either the Dominar or 249s for a start (low entry) and if I DO REALLY like riding, I can use the extra cash for a bigger cc bike in the future straight up to 650cc. But those 2 didn't feel as easy to ride as the MT25, so back to square one...

I really would like to ask any experienced rider for some advice.

Hey Sifus!

I've decided that I've wanted to get an oldskool car and restore it. I've been digging though old forum posts, websites, youtube videos and now I'm in a deep rabbit hole.

I think both cars look beautiful. But in terms of reliability, rarity, aesthetics, maintenance, spare part sourcing and performance, which would be better to go for?

Also, what is a good engine swap for them beside the options below?
Toyota KE20 (2 door) - might swap 4Age 16v
Datsun KB210 (2door) - might swap SR20Det or A15

Some people mentioned Weber but not sure if there are many mechanics that know how. Also not sure if its worth it since it only adds a bit or power and FC will be worst.

The end goal is to get a reliable, partial daily drive, slightly more power and is JPJ endorsable. Don't need overkill, but their original engines are not exactly fun to drive.

Also appreciate any shops that Sifus can recommend that does the full conversion, runner service and halfcut parts sourcing.

- Plan to get as a daily driver. (I don't go out often and wfh)
- Both are about rm70k range USED.
- Personally prefer the aesthetic of TT as it's my dream car, but the BMW has its perks in terms of practicality and doesn't look half bad. Also, it's newer (2012).
- AUDI TT is from a private seller/2nd dealership so no a bit risky there, BMW has a 1-year warranty and checked with BMW workshop already so it's legit.
- No family yet, but maybe in 3-4 years. But both cars have backseat, just TT a bit not practical.
- I want a good-looking car and reliable. Hopefully doesn't break down often and even if it does will be easy to fix without breaking the bank too much. Maybe 3-5k for maintenance a year.
- Not really a car guy, so any issues that are common with the models will be plenty helpful.
