Hi guys,

I'm planning to setup a workstation at home, hope you guys could help me setup the whole thing, maybe based on the list below u can get some idea on what to suggest for me

1. Budget --> RM5000 + RM 2000 (for LED/LCD monitor) Prefer monitor above 25"

2. My usage will be mainly on photo editing, occasional gaming like Diablo n such.

Dear forumers, first of all pardon me for bombarding with lots of questions on AVR's recently.

i've finally decided to get my AVR next week.

The thing now is, all this while i was considering yamaha 665 until i auditioned the pioneer 1019 two days ago, but i only got chance to audition 1019 vs 565...where i felt 1019 win hands down, my confusion now is how does 1019 fare compared to 665??

What are the pros and cons, which one is more value for money and which AVR delivers better PQ and AQ.

Can all the sifus here help me to decide

Newbie HT Setup

Hi to all HT sifu's and guru's out there,

I've somewhat managed to identify my first HT setup, and i need some guidance and help to recognize if i had made the right choice. I finalized on all the items below based on my budget and reviews i read online and also taking my room size into consideration (16'x28' including dining). So here we go

1. Speaker - I chose to go with sats which is Klipsch Quintet SL.

2. AVR - Yamaha RX-V665, will this avr match my speakers and drive it properly??

3. Sub - Still no idea which to get, any idea or inputs based on my setup, lets set my budget to be around RM1500.

4. BDP - Panasonic BD-60.

5. Speaker & HDMI cable - QED XT-300 for my LCR and QED Qontour ultra flat for the rears. Does the XT-300 comes in pair for each meter i order or i'll have to order a pair for each speakers?? , and HDMI cables will be QED reference from BDP-AVR-TV.

I'm still lost when it comes to calibration and all, but that will be another story alltogether, hope we can start a thread on tutorial for newbies .

Hi all,

I'm still sourcing for my home theatre speakers, n i'm actually looking for a compact system. (5.1 channel)

What you guys think about Bose Acoustimas 10 series?? is it really worth the money for its features?? ( is it around RM3k++??)

I've inherited a Yamaha avr from my cousin recently RX-V663, so i'm planning to match it with some good speakers, compact ones of course.

Not sure if this is the right place to introduce myself, but cant find the thread for introductions , my apologies, btw i've been lurking arnd here for quite sometime, especially in Property Talk and Home Entertainment forums, gained lots of info, hence tought it's only fair if i jump the bandwagon n share my opinions as well .

Btw, pertaining to the topic of this thread, i'm actually looking for tile/grout cleaners, my tiler completed the whole job n now he's MIA...not sure wat happened, washed all the tiles with tile acid, but now i need someone to remove all those acid and also clean the grouts....Kindly pass me contacts for this job guys, my place is at Kota Kemuning, Thanks in advance!!
