can the sifus here estimate the individual price?? if alternative can be cheaper please offer (monster cable bla bla bla)

HTPC- Enhance AC3/ DD Plus

All these while, I have my HTPC to use DD and DTS passthrough via SPDIF with no issues (ffDshow audio codec).

Lately i have got few HD titles in Mastroka (.MKV) with E-AC3 (Ripped from HD DVD/ BlueRay). The problem is that my old yamaha receiver does not support this. And hence I have installed Sonic HD DVD decoder 4.2 to do the decoding (at the same time have to disable the DD passthrough) then output to LPCM (2channel) via SPDIF to solve my problem for the time being.

the problem is that since DD and E-AC3 will call a typical decoder to do the same job for,i have to manually enable DD passthrough in ffdshow for title in DD in order to passthrough DD to my receiver (if not the Sonic decoder will decode internally), and disable DD passthrough make Sonic decoder kick in to decode only E-AC3. this is kinda tedious.....

is there any remedy to solve this problems?? ie FFDshow to passthrough DD and automatically select Sonic decoder for E-AC3/DD Plus ????

dear sifus,

i've been using pda with widcom BT stack. recently inherited a BenQ P50 PDA phone but its with MS BT Stack. i've setup dial up via BT to my N80 like my previous PDA and it works fine. but when 1 pair up with my Holux GPS receiver, i have to "add new outgoing com port" (can only add COM6 for my holux) in order to make the GPS works whereas i don't have to on Widcom BT Stack. Apparently the dial up uses COM 6 as well and after doing so, dial up failed.

How to add or assign additional com port for BT??? I've tried exploring the registry but not sure how to do. the MS BT stack sucks big time....

alternatively, can we replace the MS one with Widcom's? How to?
