Anyone know where is a good place to rent, around 10km radius for 4 months around Taman Ceupacs, Cheras. 34 students (6 males). Any landlords willing to give unit for 4 month rent? Or too short?

Was thinking of Razak City Residences, since it has a lot of units and lots of amenities in the same building. Saw the price around rm1.6k-2k for 3 bedroom apartment. Maybe can fit 6 students in the apartment?

Open to suggestions.

Laptop with easy upgradability

Hi,

Currently using this Asus UX461A. A 2-in-1 laptop with touchscreen. I think I bought it in 2017. The laptop itself is still good actually.

Current specs are:

Intel core i5-8250U
Intel UHD graphics 620
8GB LPDDR3 RAM.

Drive upgraded to 500GB.

Ram soldered which is annoying-stuck at 8 GB ram, on Win11 Pro and Office 365.

RAM usage seems to be at 85% average. CPU at 35%. My wife has the same laptop specs , but lenovo, but the RAM is upgradable. Adding another 8 GB RAM seems just enough for Win11 and Office 365. Even now while I'm typing, sometimes, my typing is faster than what is displayed on screen. Formatted the laptop 6 months ago. Backgruond apps include onedrive, Eset AV, Snyology drive, Powertoys and rainmeter (ram, CPU load monitor).

At home, I hook the laptop to a monitor and use an external keyboard and mouse. Basically the laptop is just a secondary screen. On average, when I go outstation, (average once a month), I will need to use the laptop for work.

Any ideas on what laptop to get? Prefer something the size of 14inch (7kg flight restriction) but with lots of ports and good battery life and non-soldered parts. 32GB RAM is fine with me (or any option to go increase RAM in the future, better). I also noticed that all the laptops I had until now had Harman/Kardon speakers, so good speakers is ok. Don't care if it is 2-in-1 since I already have a tablet for that. Nice to have though, but not necessary since pen input and windows interface is awful.

Anyone here using Framework laptops?

Maxis fiber settings for enabling Synology NAS

Does anyone know how to get Synology NAS working with Maxis fiber? I just found out today at work that I can no longer access files for work - either through quickconnect or taiilscale.

I am still using the same TP link AX73 router and not the maxis router and only changed the ISP login details.

I think I owned the unit in 2016 or so. Judging by the date of manufacture sticker. Resist to change since it is working well. No worries forced to change.

I'm driving a kia sorento um 2017 diesel. Mileage 88k km. Planning to do upgrades on the car when it hits 10. Also planning to keep car for 200k km.

(in no particular order):

1. Leather seats first two rows (dk schweizer). Third row used rarely, like new.
2. Auto foam (recommend shop)
3. 360 android from current android HU and reverse CAMERA. Already have front and rear camera. (teyes/recommend shop)
4. Full repaint of car (recommend shop).

Now which ones should I do in order? Can settle both/more at the same time? Did I miss other upgrades? Got service where I can drop car and let them settle it?

Method to cover up stuff on top of cupboard?

I need to cover the top of the cupboard so it looks pleasing and also cover up my NAS. Was thinking of a server rack but then would look ugly with all the stuff on top of the cupboard. Cupboard thickness is 14 inches, height, 3 foot.

Any ideas? A curtain? Sliding doors?

Broadband setting/package for home NAS

I am currently using a synology DS420+ for all backup but more for long-term storage scheduled daily at night. From. Currently using it for daily backup.

My current setup is everything from my mobile/work gets backed up to Onedrive and then at night gets mirrored to the NAS. My workplace has downgraded my OD business from 1 TB to 10 GB. As such, now having to change setup to backup all to NAS and Onedrive to direct sync to the NAS. My Unifi is 300mb if I am not mistaken. Is there a way to maximise the upload/download speed to the NAS? The NAS is connected via wire to a TP link AX10 router. I want to saturate the bandwidth for syncing purposes. I also have 2 other work colleagues sharing my NAS for their work. Though the their usage is minimal (around 200 gb and 4 gb for each user). I have 3.7 TB stuff on there and my OD alone accounts for 500+ GB.

I did not bother to install the SSD in the NAS as the unifi speed ain't going to support it anyway. To things in context, the AX10 router is connected via wired to CCTV, NAS and wireless to CCTV, smart home (IoT devices-vacum, filter, smoke alarm, smart switch, alarm), and total 30+ devices (tablet, phone. laptop, tv etc). I don't see the need to upgrade the bandwidth as even with 3 people having online meetings, few devices on youtube/netflix, bandwidth saturation has never been an issue. I have a TP link AX73 router as backup and will only be deployed once there is constant signal dropping for wifi devices (don't trust the claimed wifi connected devices- will not even reach there. Same with the Mesh).

So how to make sure priority is given to the NAS? I've given QoS preference to the NAS. I do notice that OD backup/download to any PC wired or not is slow, like will not saturate the bandwidth. Or there is nothing else I can do as maybe there is throttling from network provider side?

Bosch Aquatak 110 vs 125

I've been using the Aquatak for more than 4 years now. Now second time sent for service since it starts to develop some problems. I see that the price difference between the 110 and the 125 is almost double. Is the 125 worth it? I do use the 110 to wash the driveway and gutter and water plants now with my collected rain water.

Anyone has experience in both? And before someone recommends me Karcher, I have too many bosch aquatak accessories. Not going to buy them again.

I tried to find the SSPN-I Website link but cannot find it. Still get emails on penyata. They migrate to PTPTN, but when login, no longer possible. Only found the link to semak penyata, not withdrawals.
