Hello all,
Am shopping around for at least 2 multiple port charger for obvious use. Hopefully all 2Amp types as I have tablets to charge up. Intend to buy at least 2 and put around the house.
I saw Yoobao, Orico..Whats the street price nowadays?..sorry lah..loss touch with these things.

Myvi Antenna fix

My car antenna rotted away, the plastic sheath became sticky, gooey and crumbled after 5 years. Original part is around 36 bucks. Of course there's other compatible parts in the market and cheaper, never mind.
I'm here to share a tip to re-use the antenna as long as its not broken in two. Remove the old sheath, wash it properly and dry it up. Then sheath it with 20mm width HEAT SHRINK TUBE (any color will do but I used common black) with about 4mm longer at the top. Then heat shrink it with a heat gun for best results. Refit, Done! You just saved it. So don't throw away the old one. Easy to refurbish and re-use. Or spray paint to any color you like, the heat shrink tubing will stand 125degC and can be replaced anytime later.

Myvi Dashboard USB and Mic input socket assembly

Plug and play dashboard fitting for most car audio that don't have front USB/Mic input, for Perodua Myvi (before Lagi Best). I'm not sure if its the same part for LB Myvi but probably can.
Its made using Original Perodua blank switch cover, Canare Japan screened cable (1M), Neutrik metal socket and plug.
The purpose is to easily plug your pendrive or USB cable and Bluetooth microphone rather than to a dangling cable from behind the head unit. It makes everything neat. It works flawlessly in my own car.
I may make more if there's demand.
How to install: Remove blank cover, thread and connect the USB plug and Mic cable to Head unit. Plug back this assembly into dashboard, that's it.
Price:RM80, free post to anywhere W.Malaysia.

Install Media Player for HU

Other day I installed a simple Asus O!Play media player to my Kenwood Multimedia HU with HDMI input. Its all usable.
As long conditions are 1)12V DC input, 2)HDMI cable to HU, then its usable. DC power to the Media Player is a specially made cigarette lighter cable and plug to Asus DC input. One can DIY this, just ensure the correct polarity and fuse it at 5Amps, no more for safety reasons.
Drawback is the aspect ratio of the HU display is not exactly correct. The HU display is at 480P (rather low), 800 X 480 pixel display.
I think its a nice add on and can decode anything from HDD and to the limitations of AV format. The car HU is limited on many format types.

Having said this I do NOT encourage drivers to watch videos while driving although this is for passengers.
This is just a simple trial exercise since its HDMI ready with a dangling HDMI cable at dash bottom, I've not figured where to place the Asus and HDD..Glovebox maybe?

Item(s) conditions: The condition is excellent, no dings, scratches, almost as new condition. Car is seldom used and mostly on USB pendrive music. The CDP is still new as its almost never used and working.
Included in this package are the original speakers and mounting bracket. Wiring plug isn't included, instead you can the cable plug from a good accessories shop. I personally and meticulously dismantled the HU and speakers from my car. Very careful work. The HU have never been internally tampered nor repaired. Factory warranty sticker at corner still intact.

Reason for sale: Buying something else.

I passed by and observed somewhere in PJ area some lemang vendor using waste wood from construction sites and other reject wood with paint, cement or contaminants to fuel the fire.. I don't think this is a good thing, where the contaminants will produce toxic fumes and creep into the lemang, eventhough its roasting the bamboo.
I leave it to your discretion..just a fair warning that what I observed is with doubt.

Garmin GPS battery

I own a dated Garmin 255W GPS and non-AECO unit. I need to replace the internal battery. Its worn down and can't last 1 hour on its own.
Is there some shops at Low Yat Plaza where they sell just the replacement battery? any recommendation which shop have them.
I don't intend to replace the GPS..it serve my purpose in car.
