AVR lip sync issue

Hey guys I'm having some lip sync issues with my PS3 -> Yamaha RX-V467 -> Samsung LA55C650 (all through HDMI)

Yes I can play around with the audio delay function to fix it but that is extremely tedious as the lag is not consistent across various games and movies.

The receiver does have an Auto Lipsync function, but I'm guessing it either doesn't work or my TV doesn't support it.

Anyone else have this issue? And how do I minimise or get rid of it entirely?

The lipsync is perfect if I link the PS3 directly to my TV btw.
