Need advise, 12 meter wired or Wireless

I hope i put it in the right Section. Basically my situation is like this, i m going to have Streamyx in my house soon. My room will be 12 meter away from the Wireless Router which will be place in the living room. I m using PC (not laptop, therefore no wireless connection) I need to make a decision to

1. Use wired cable (12 meters long) to connect from the router to my computer in my room. Will the speed be affected?

or

2. Buy USB Wireless to connect my computer to the Wireless Router. There are 2 walls in between the router to my room so i am afraid that it well affect the speed.

I will use the internet to play online game and downloading. I know that using wireless is bad for gaming bcos of high latency, but if i use 12 meter cable long, will it affect my speed too? Or using going wireless is good enough?

Please advise. Thx
