Kumpulan berkenaan bertugas menjaga keselamatan, lengkap dengan elemen seperti Pasukan Petugas Khas Jenayah Terancang (STAFOC), Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah Berat (D9) dan Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah Maksiat, Judi dan Kongsi Gelap (D7).

Mereka dapat dilihat di kawasan tumpuan umum seperti pusat beli-belah, terutama di KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Dataran Merdeka serta tempat penginapan atlet dan delegasi asing, selain pusat hiburan.

Timbalan Pengarah JSJ Bukit Aman, Datuk Huzir Mohamed, berkata lebih 600 pegawai dan anggotanya bersama kontinjen beberapa negeri terbabit dalam tiga fasa Ops Cantas Rimau sejak 7 Ogos lalu hingga 31 Ogos ini.

k1ngcoco said will give refund but keep delay
victim make police report
