Magazine - advertisement payment

my company is publishing a new magazine.

Some advertisers request to pay only after the magazine is published since we are new company and new magazine.
or pay part of the advertisement fee (10-30%)

my question is: do we need to sign any agreement with the advertiser beside the order form?

Publishing a Booklet

hi
Im planning to publish a booklet.
I have a few question in mind now:

1. what to get ready when approuching an advertiser.
-so far, i have done a presentation booklet, introduction letter, some data, rate card, company profile &background and sample booklet

2. is most of the big company outsourcing their advertising to the advertising agency? so am i going to approuch the advertising agency or the marketing department of the company?

3. I do understand most of the company have set their advertising budget early of the year. will their actually allocate extra for my booklet?

4. As an Advertiser, what would they look for or concern? comprehensive data like readership?, targeted reader?, price?, circulation?. or "Rebate"

I would like to hear some advice from the marketing excutive who are controling the advertising resource or people working with advertising agency.

thx!

[addedon]May 12, 2009, 10:01 pm[/addedon]and will they actually care about the advertising cost since they are only worker of the company.
