WARRANTY - ONLINE

Just been filling in a Warranty Card for an Edifier M1380 and it started me thinking why in this day and age am I NOT doing this online?

Checked the www.inter-asia.com.my web site, nothing

This scenario always puts me off a brand, all it says to me is the manufacturer wants to make it difficult for you to register your warranty so they can get out of any claims. It also speaks volumes for their environmental concern / carbon footprint, basically they don't care, paper for the warranty card, the stamp, the cost of the stamp for the customer, travelling to the post office, all the logistics transport / pollution for POS Malaysia and then when it does arrive Inter-Asia SHOULD key it into their system, doubt they do, probably goes straight in the bin.

All that versus logging on, filling in a form, and getting an automated email acknowledgement.

Sorry but its back to Altec-Lansing for me in future, glad this was just a cheapy system for the kids.
Which 23" LCD Monitor?

I am after a 21-23" LCD Monitor.

I bought a Samsung B2230H in April, 2010 it spent more time with Samsung than me and I finally got a full refund, (aftermuch protest) yesterday.
The problem I was having was incompatabilty with an Asus EAH5770 Graphics card, basically HDMI did not work.

Anyway that episode is behind me but I,m not sure if I will never buy a Samsung product again. So task in hand is to find a replacement, any suggestions?

I've been looking at:

RM 759.00 - DELL 2309W as it gets great reviews but it is not 1920x1080 and DELL's poor delivery time concerns me.

RM 729.00 - DELL UltraSharp U2311H looks good but no HDMI and the responce time (8ms (gray to gray) Typical) seems chronic and as above.

RM 669.00 - ACER H233H is a contender

RM 749.00 - HP W2228h, pricy for a 22", again crappy built-in speaker, worried about reflection from gloss screen.

ASUS VH232H is another strong contender but has built in speaker (Daft on any monitor they are always crap and seem a waste of money) but seems harder to find in Malaysia which makes me worry about warranty. Also has got some poor reviews on image quality, Colour accuracy and sharpness set too high.

Mmmm Samsung really are the cheaper cousin
RM 528.00 - Samsung B2230H - know I'll have problems with this, tried 3 already
RM 603.00 - Samsung B2330H - gets the "ok for the price reviews"

Anyone up to share their thoughts?

LZ

Hi,

I looking to buy:

ASUS P5Q3
2 x 2GB DDR3 1333 RAM >> [Current: ASUSTeK DDR3 1333 / 1GBx2 / CL 9-9-9]
CORE 2 QUAD Q8200 NOT QE8400 >> [Current: CORE 2 QUAD Q8200 / Freq: 2.33ghz / FSB: 1333 / Socket: LGA775 / L2 Cache: 4MB
Fairly Descent Power Supply
SAMSUNG 21.5" 2233SW
and Graphics Card - DDR5

Was considering Sappire HD 4770 but would prefer a 256 bit version, have an older Sapphire HD4830 I've been quite pleased with.
Working to a budget, looking at coming over to Low Yat Thursday.
Ideally everything on Amex so I can use points and spread the cost over a few months.

Would consider alternatives.

AMENDED!
Thanks for the comment, my first thought was hey I know what I bought, then I thought these guys know what there talking about I better check.
Previous processor I bought was CORE 2 QUAD Q8200 (checked off the box)

Gary
