Spam call from UK

Dear Maxis users, have anyone been getting multiple calls from UK? I have been plagued by these so called bot calls. I googled the numbers and found most people reported the number are spam and charges their bills from whocallsme website.

Here is the list.

From iPhone it shows the calls is from Leeds, England, United Kingdom. I have tried to block the calls but it keeps coming in from different number.

Reported to Maxis, they said they cant block and noted would refund if the bot calls gets charged to our bill "if the charges are insane"

They call 3 times. 1 time until call gets dropped, 2nd time short, 3rd time until call gets dropped.

Curious if anyone else been plagued with this.. Well maybe I have yahoo account and with data breach they got my number?

Problem details
First occurence of problem: 1 week ago
Problem frequency: continuous
Problem description: I have problem with my port forwarding. It seems recently all the port number that I use are unable to open or not reachable. I been using random ports or specify my own port and using the max port number also cannot seem to make the port forwarded for my utorrent. I use PFPortchecker to check the port numbers and mostly all the ports seems to be unable to connect or not open.. I encountered I port was open I used it and the after few minutes that port even got closed.

Anyone here using port forwarding in utorrent and its working fine? I heard recently ISP are blocking the ports to restrict port forwarding for P2P..

Service Desk Consultant or IT Helpdesk

My friend recently got a job offer from HP and DISYS.. From HP it is IT Helpdesk position and DISYS is service desk consultant

In terms of pay DISYS is paying higher than HP.. HP offers 3k including allowances while the basic at DISYS is 3.3K and allowances not sure how much.. But the problem is he is confused either IT Helpdesk or Service Desk consultant. HP workplace is in Cyberjaya and DISYS is in midvalley northpoint.

So far everyone says Service Desk job is boring and no career growth and will be bored in short time. Meanwhile Helpdesk you will be doing various support and there is career growth and opportunities to move forward. His point of view is of go for money but the work must also be interesting and got growth.. He is still 22 years now.. graduated..

From what I see in the job description it seems both jobs doing the same work scope but I am not sure how to advise him..

HP project is Erricson while DISYS is Exxon-Mobil

Anyone here can let me know whats your take so that I can let him know give him better outlook before he makes his choice?

Owner wants to sell the unit

I would ask your opinions about the problem I am facing.

I rented a medium room in the place I am at on May 2013... Suddenly the house owner comes in and tells the main tenant ( he sublet the rooms to us) that he wants to sell the house because he cannot pay the maintenance fees. I find it weird because the maintenance fee is Rm200-300.. and he gets around 1700 for the rent from all of us. The problem is although the main tenant told me the whole process will take at least 6 months and ppl are coming by to view the place. What should I do? Can I find a new place and move out within this coming months? Can I get my deposit in full? I signed the contract for 1 year. But the if the new owner comes there is 50/50 chance they might let us stay but increase rental. Is it possible the new owner can increase the rent and ask to pay since I signed a contract that I will pay rent 500 monthly for a year.The worse part the guys in master bedroom just moved like in July 2013..

I really need advise and what any solutions or options I can look at. Appreciate your advise

Hey /k tards especially chinese pipu I was wondering how fluent are you ppl in our national language. So far to be fair I have seen nearly 20% that really speak fluently. Mostly I seen chinese pipu speak bahasa in broken form and ah beng style.. I was wondering why chinese pipu havent master out national language.

The reason why my team in beijing today gave me a proposal in English and Bahasa.. I was amazed their bahasa proposal so solid and good and up to Malaysian standards and they are able to speak bahasa fluently although after 1 year first time speaking in meeting today. The group taken BM language class for like 1 year back but rarely spoke to anyone till today. By looking at them I was wondering how come they are so fluent in speaking our national language and even writing. Meanwhile looking at chinese pipu back at Malaysia primary to secondary school still cannot master BM.. I am sad to see my own chinese pipu got overtaken by beijing pipu..

Hi everyone I want to ask about the Overdrive function and the Eco mode in cars. Is it the same?
If you see in Almera there is the overdrive button and if you some cars like mers or bm there is eco or sport option..

Is the function of Overdrive and Sport function in big cars do the same thing?

If you were to drive in highway on a speed of 125 above is it recommended to change from normal to overdrive for almera and eco to sport for bmw cars?

Dear /K I want to ask.. I was watching astro and I thought because of my astro signal is bad so sometimes there some transmission lag but I realize its not. In tamil channels such as drama and movie the such as "Muslim Greeting" and prophet name is censored, the scene where they take videos or movie recorded at mosque the prayers sounds fully they will censor. Sometimes some tamil words also they censor although its not bad word? but some bad words they dont censor. I even realize in discovery or nat geo they censor the muslim greeting and if they record the mosque the whole scene is censored but the anchor is still talking

In my opinion this is abit too much for censoring and most of the tamil drama indian and muslims coexist with no issues and most drama revolve among them.. Some bad tamil words they dont censor but proper tamil words they censor leaving me no idea what they hell they talking sometimes.. You even can see a long mute censor during some hows..

Seriously why till this level.. Is censoring greetings and when your watching a documentary about other religion they mute the more than half of the show is feasible?

OK.. Yesterday in meeting my Operations Manager showed us a project that company will be working on asked who would like to volunteer to work on the project. I find the project interesting and as stepping stone in my career and it has much to do for my interest and knowledge that I will gain as I am still 22. ( I graduated this year and worked before). I observed the whole IT Team kept quiet and nobody volunteered and I did.. At the end of the meeting my colleagues told me I was brave and throw me a party and told me the dice has been rolled and you fell for it.. I had no idea what he said yesterday..

Today morning my Operations Director gave my new appointment letter with my salary increased 2x and other benefits which was too good and yeah I signed it. Why not.. Now I stepped into the new office I found out that my boss is the most hard to work person in the company and its just me and her in the team as she said its her requirement she wants only 1 person in her team. This is what she debriefed me just now and everyones view of her.. I worked with her before once and it was like death and living in hell

Summary of my lady boss ( from what I know of her in the company
- Super Queen Control ( she is 33 and not married)
- One of the best IT Director in the company and hard to work with ( even the VP does not dare to challenge her)
- She told me dont tell your going to toilet or gonna eat but I want my job done ( no idea what she meant)
- Debrief her on weekly basis
- Attend the meeting and come up with proposal write ups and attend the monthly directors meeting
- She is person who dont accept "NO" for answer and told me by book or any nook and crannies get it done according to her preference
- If you have a good argument then she will reconsider her "NO"
- She also told me when she tells me something follow it dont argue and its final

Now she tells me to follow her to Beijing next week and she said its final but I have Cobit Certification exam next week...

I know its long but how to survive? please those who have experience in working this kind of boss please advise..

So here I was driving from Kinrara to IMU.. at the traffic light normally ppl take illegal u-turn near the Sirim and nursery plant.. These 2 car did illegal u-turn.. As I was coming two cars stopped and this proton saga guy came out from car like samseng and show middle finger to the guy in the Nissan Syphy.. Arguing while in the middle of the road.. lucky traffic was less..

The best part police patrol car passby and didnt do anything..

So my question serious that guy come out like samseng and show middle finger.. why do ppl do that?

dont want to say what race the driver is scared vrooom vrooom...

Currently I have 4 hdd... 320GB seagate, 500GB WD, 1TB WD Green and 2TB WD Green... 320 used for windows the remaining I store all my files. all the storage devices are full with my downloads.. I store mostly anime, drama and MSDN and professional certification files..

Currently all my drives are full and I am planning to expand my drives.. Currently I am planning to buy 2 2TB hard drive to accommodate my paused anime downloads and drama.. so should i buy internal hdd drive or invest on NAS and expand from there?

if getting nas is Dlink the right choice or drobo 5N?
