WTA: SMTP for Microsoft Exchange Server

Is there anyone who know or can give any suggestion that why i could not send a smtp mail using phpmailer under a Microsoft Exchange Server? When i try using telnet, i was able to authenticate initially, but after i put in the command "MAIL FROM:<username@domain.com>", it showed error "535 5.7.8. Authentication failed from 1xx.1xx.1xx.1x". I tried using phpmailer and swiftmailer, both no luck. Both giving the same result as telnet. How can i send smtp directly using PHP code for Microsoft Exchange Server?

WTA database copyright issue

If i would like to register a self developed database under a company, so i could sell it to other ppl. Any procedure should i go through? Anything i could do to protect my creation other than the copyright law? Sorry for the noob question, i am new in database programming.
