PC Won't Start After Slot In RAM

hi i've got question to ask, 1stly :

my father and i go to a computer shop last week, i wanted to buy a 2x2GB RAM (4GB RAM),and the brand is Apacer, so , we asked the technician to help insert the RAM . then, after he have done doing that , he start my computer, everything is ok after the "if we want to go to settings or ape-ape", the window vista logo will appeared and below it has the green thingy loading, then nothing happens, it just loading and loading so looong , my comp didn't start at all
the guy give up and we tak jadi beli,after that, we went home and try to start the comp nothing happen until 3 hours, then the comp is ok again

so, what is the solution ? i have to go to HP shop and buy a original RAM ?
