Hi guys,
Recently purchased an old single story house in PJ. While I was driving around looking for inspiration, i came across this house. Tried approaching the owner, but the guy has already moved out.

I really like the design of the gate & awning (and also the concrete tiles/slab). I just moved to KL and don't really have any contacts so I would really appreciate it if someone here could point me to the right direction.

Hi guys,
This might sound like a really stupid question, but i am desperate, so pls bear with me!

I recently purchased 2 apartments side by side and i broke down the walls to turn it into 1 unit. In the 1st apartment, I broke down the kitchen so that the entire place becomes a large hall. The original hall uses broken marble and the original kitchen uses tiles. When I broke the kitchen down, I wanted to use back the same type of marble (or something similar). My contractor said that he could get it for me, but it wouldn't be 100% the same. At first, before polishing, it didn't look so bad. But after polishing it, the difference is so obvious! The new marble has a grayish hue to it whereas the original is white. is it possible to lighten the marble using chemical???

Hood vs exhaust fan

Hi guys,
I am currently contemplating whether to get a hood or exhaust fan. I need something powerful as the kitchen is used everyday for cooking (quite hardcore I might add ). some have said that exhaust is better since there is a small window near the cooking area.

serpentine belt or pulley causing sound

Hi guys,
There is a screeching sound when i turn on my aircond and when the RPM is low. I suspect its the serpentine belt, but one mechanic told me that its the pulley. However when I asked another mechanic, he said that its the belt. Is there a way to find out which is causing the sound?

Screen Goes blank after a couple of seconds

Hi guys,
I am having some problems with my 3d card. its an ATI 3850. After windows have boot up, the screen will go blank after a couple of seconds. I removed the 3d card, and connected the monitor to the built in display card, and the problem was solved. However I can't play any 3d games as I don't have a 3d card! Is it a hardware or software problem?

BSOD during startup

Hi guys,
The dreaded BSOD always shows up when I startup vista. It happened after i forcefully shut down windows by pressing on the power button (i was in a hurry ). I can still go into safe mode, so it shouldn't be a big problem (i hope ). Any ideas how i go about solving it??? Thanks in advance

How long does it take for EPF to reimburse money?

i recently purchased an apartment. since it was my first property, i decided to utilize the money from my EPF account 2. I submitted my application about 2 weeks back, and so far I haven't heard anything yet. Does anyone know how long it takes for EPF to reimburse the money? Can I call them up to check on the status of the application??? thanks in advanced

I am planning to buy a used car. There is one car I am eyeing, but the problem is the car has 4 previous owners. The car was manufactured in 1999. Is it wise to get a car with 4 owners? I am worried that it might be an issue when i want to sell it.

Customer Cancel Order, Asking for Refund

one of my customer is giving me a big headache! (cannot sleep until now!). Basically what happen was he ordered an item from my older website 2 months back. Since it was the older version of my webstore, i didn't know about it until I went in to retrieve some old data. I sent him an email and offered him free shipping (for the delay). And he agreed. So I sent my particulars to him, and after that i didnt get any reply back from.

Fast forward one week later, I found out that he had already paid via paypal, but somehow paypal didn't send any notification to me, and he also never email me to inform me that he already paid! So I emailed him back, and apologized and told him that I will send it out on wednesday (today!). My vendor told me that a newer version of the product has been released, and I had the option of sending him the newer version. So I emailed again and gave him the option. I clearly stated that whichever he choose, the shipping will still be delivered as promised. I also sent him the airway bill & invoice (proof that I have paid for the shipping).

Now he said he want to cancel the order and want me to refund back the full amount! And he never even offer to pay for the shipping! The question is should I get him to pay 1/2 of the shipping? And to make things worse, I am suppose to send out the stuff by today, and he still haven't accepted my explanation. And due to the time difference, I will probably get a reply from him tonight (wednesday night)
