DCUO PS3 Installation Help.

Hello friends,

I really need help and I have a few questions on my mind. I already downloaded the DCUO from USA account and already played. My character already reached level 15. Anyway, I also bought a used DCUO R1 game disc and the activation code has already been used. I thought that I maybe I could save some hardisk space in my PS3 if i play using disc. My questions are:-

1. Will I be able to use the disc as the activation code was already been use? It is a free game anyway rite..

2. Will I loose my character and have to start from scratch if I decide to delete the game data that I downloaded and choose to play using disc?

3. Please advice me whether I should delete the game that I downloaded and play using the game disc or not?

Are these games Region Locked?

Just wanna ask u guys cause i received many opinions regarding this matter and everybody is saying different things. I'm planning on buying Dynasty Warriors 7 and Warriors Legend of Troy. The online features for these games caught my attention and i would like to try these games. My question is.. are these games region free and can I play these games with my friends if they have the games from different region? For example.. can I play online with my friends who have R1 game when I have R3 game. That's all for now. Thank you in advance.

INFORMATION FOR EVERYBODY AFTER YOU UPDATED YOUR PS3 TO VERSION 3.0.

Two weeks back I bought an original Dualshock Sixaxis controller in order to play Resident Evil 5 coop mode. It was working properly and I had fun using it with my friends killing zombies and lickers and creating havoc in the game until recently.. the problem occurs when I downloaded and updated my PS3 to version 3.0 which is the latest firmware update for PS3 about a week ago.. my recently bought controller stop functioning and my console couldn't read the controller.. the led couldn't stop blinking and most of the time the led reads Player 1 and 2 simultaneously.. I went back to the shop and the shopkeeper which we called 'uncle' in Pandan Kapitol, Pandan Indah tried all his controllers which he had in stock with my console and the same problem occurs.. then he called the dealer and started arguing with him about the defect which he experienced with all his new unopened controllers.. After a few experiments we decided to try another controller which is the same region as my console which is region 3 and the controller started to function properly.. I was lucky when he agreed to change the controller which suites the region of my PS3 with addition of RM 20 because according to him region 3 controller is a bit expensive than my recently bought controller which is from region 2 (I'm not sure if controller has region locked).. I don't mind paying additional fees as long as I can enjoy two player coop mode in any game..

Here I would like to advice everybody to try your controller after you updated your latest software of PS3 because after experiencing this technical difficulties I concluded that after you updated your latest firmware of PS3 to version 3.0 it can only read the controller which suites the console region..

OLD PS3 VS NEW PS3 SLIM.. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCE?

The new PS3 slim has reached the market.. I use the old bigger PS3.. What are the features in the new slim PS3 that are not included in the old system? Anybody can answer this? Which one is better? There must be features that are new in the new console which are not included in the old one and vice versa.. and there must be features that are taken out from the old console in order to make the new version of PS3.. Open for discussion..

ISP FOR PS3 AND DESKTOP?

Currently I'm using P1 W1MAX for my Desktop and PS3 online gaming.. I'm playing Metal Gear Online most of the time and the connection is getting worse everyday.. I'm looking at any other Internet Service Provider... most probably Streamyx.. but before that please advice me on which ISP can offer the best service for my Desktop and PS3??

I'm not against P1 W1MAX. The customer service representative are very good, helpful, and cooperative but sadly to say that maybe my area is not well covered with the service. I already sent the customer feedback report to them and they replied and called me back to help me solve my problem. Thanks to all of them. By the way, I live in Sri Pandan Condominium, in front of Ampang Hospital.. just between the P1 W1MAX border coverage area. If P1 W1MAX can improve the service and extend the coverage area further more into the condominiums territory I will surely stick to this service.The problems encountered using P1 W1MAX in my current location are:-

(1) Slow internet connection. (PS3 and Desktop)
(2) Unstable connection and got disconnected most of the time. (PS3 and Desktop)
(3) Took me more than 5 minutes just to open one web page and more than 15 minutes to open multiple web pages (Desktop).
(4) Slow download time. (PS3 and Desktop)
(5) Lagging when playing online game specifically Metal Gear Online. (PS3)
(6) Unable to connect to Playstation Network most of the time. (PS3)
(7) Got signed out from Playstation Network most of the time. (PS3)

PLEASE ADVICE ME ON WHICH ISP IS SUITABLE FOR MY PLAYSTATION 3 AND DESKTOP?? THANK YOU..
