i am having a prob buying a laptop.. erm... my budget is around 2.5k and i am planning to buy a laptop with 15' inch regardless any processor and GC . i juz using it to do assignments and project .. and just to do simple things.... so.. any suggestion??? any reviews if i am to buy asus X50GL??

When we're getting a new lappy we should check weather it has any scrathes ? Run a cpuz & compare with the browser? check its usb port? anyothers steps care2 add on ?
we may ask freebies like nb lock,nb cooler, optical mouse , slingbag,backpack , any others ??
Is the lappy come with a 6-cel battery&power addapter?

Sry kinda noob in pc stuff.. 1st time gting a new lappy ...

How 2 check the lappy motherboard compatible with how many hz of ram r ? and how 2 check the hz of the ram the given 2 us on the spot ?(seems like device manager there can't c it )

When we gt our lappy can we ask 4 the seller 2 quoto the patition ?
e.g like 250gb of hardisk normall is devided into 125gb for C and 125gb for D? But can ask them that we wan boot it as 20gb for C and 230gb for D? If yes is there any extra charges & will it be long ?

which 1 should I gt a wireless router+modem or a wireless router (should it be compatible)?
Is it a lot a setting 2 be done if I'm using the wireless router cause ned 2 set the setting 4 the modem as well as the router compare 2 the router+modem?

Moreover wat's a router + access point eg.LINKSYS WAP54G (A.POINT)... is it can acts as an hot spot and router function as well ?(seriulsy don gt it Y it named as accespoint wat's the dif)

as i know modem is used 4 1 to 1 connetion.from phone line to pc
wat's is router and swtich ?

what should it be?If we wanna share lines?

should I run OS in 32 bit or 64 bit ??
I'm buying a lappy in another 2~3month doing survey which OS should I gt 32bit or 64bit ??(High possiblitly going 4 4gb ram later on)
The lappy ned to use for around 4~5years .... Can any1 predict the future ??
But I heard a lot of software stil not compatible with 64-bit OS.

Help me Out please!
