Hi all, please read this before going any further

The reason why I labelled my PC as "faulty" is because I do not know whether the components are working or not. Here's why: There was no lightning strike or anything, but suddenly, there was a flash and a "pop" sound somewhere within the PC and then it got turned off (maybe because of my OC-ed processor?). Since then I have never tried or bothered to send it to the shop. Thankfully the GPU and HDD were still working, but the rest of the components left inside might be working or might not, I dont know. So now I hope to sell this "junk" off for some cash

Hi, my ACER (CRAP) notebook's wireless card is malfunctioning due to unknown reasons and I was wondering if it is cheaper to get a new USB wireless adapter or send it for service (warranty has expired). What I'm particularly concerned about getting a new USB wireless adapter is the lack of power supplying capabilities my laptop has. If I connect a notebook fan to its USB port, it doesn't have enough power to run an external harddisk. So with that in mind I'm not sure whether it can support a fan AND a wireless adapter.

A few splitters which died an explosive death

Does buying multiple surge protectors work and is it worth while? Or should I just keep replacing my stuff whenever a sh*tstorm breaks out?
