Acer Aspire 4740G Freeze Issue

Hi there,
i have started this thread, because i have found that this laptop (Acer Aspire 4740G 432G50) has been having random 'hard hangs', whereby everything freezes on the screen including mouse pointer. This means, you can even start task manager etc, and the only solution is to force turn off the laptop using the power button.

I have experienced this on
1. Windows 7 x64 Home Premium (came with the laptop)
2. Windows 7 x64 Professional MSDN AA license
3. Windows XP Pro

all installed on the laptop. I am using the latest drivers from Acer website, and the latest bios 1.04.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Searching thru the forum, i found two similar posts

Microsoft Forum
http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums...33-4796fbf1b51f

Lowyat (qbal07melk, bakso_cedap)
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1291127/+300#

If anyone out there is having similar problem, please respond.
Thanks
