Bond for non-profit companies?

Hi i'm doing a research and I have some qualms.
Appreciate if anyone could enlighten me on these:

For a non-profit organisation, i.e charity or education, I have surplus funds say RM 50 million. And I'm keen to invest the surplus money in other mediums other than FD 2% interest.

1) What are the alternatives do I have? The lesser the risk the better as it's a non profit organisation, just wanna make use of surplus fund to the maximum.

2) How about bonds? Are there any government bonds for organisation to purchase that has low risk, like Sukuk1 Malaysia bond? (Companies can buy bond? Those bonds are for the rakyats, right?)

3) I read a lot of about unit trusts, are they better off than bonds? Can an organisation purchase unit trusts? As I read a lot like unit trusts are more for individuals (with quota also) more than organisations like ASW 2010.

4) Are there any upcoming opportunities around for non-profit organisation?

Thank you! Appreciate your advices!
