Money or job satisfaction

Hello guys, So I have been working in Singapore as a mechanical design engineer for almost 2 years. Is not whether I hate my job or what, but I just couldn't see where this journey gonna lead me. Recently i have seen a lot of interesting jobs which I've been aiming for in penang but the pay is obviously low and I will have to learn the new things again.

I believe that a lot of people have stucked in this situation before and whether or not ended up doing the job they don't like for the rest of their life. This is why I'm curious, does the high salary subsidised the unsatisfaction of ur job? If is not about commitment, would u have quited ur job?

Path of a Mechanical Engineer

Hello guys, I'm 28 years old and holding a MSc. I have been working in a company as an mechanical design engineer for 2 years in Singapore. Well basically I'm designing mostly automation machine and small standard part for site.

So now I'm actually kinda lost, just a weird feeling like I'm in my comfort zone long enough and think it is time to take a step forward (sorry unneassary info for u guys xD). When I search from the Internet of what a mechanical engineer could do in the future, what Google showed me was just becoming a P. E or we call it IR in Malaysia. But there is one thing that contradict my thoughts. Well getting a P. E may need a recognized institute but my uni is not in the list, so I was thinking is there any other side path we can go? I have found out abit info like going for steam engineer license, six sigma black belt licence kind of thing... Are there any other options? Thank you very much.

P. S if for steam engineer, totally out of the option as I need to go back malaysia and start from 0 again. I don't mind going back to my home country but reversing the path is not very wise choice for me as I'm reaching 30 soon.

Wta~ what is the future of automation engineer?

Hello guys, recently I got an offer from an automation company as a mechanical Design engineer. I am a fresh graduate, I want to know what can I do in the future if I stick with the position for 5 years? Any possibility that I can propose to bank to open my own automation Company or I will have stick with *worker* life? I do quite worry because I'm getting paid very low for a fresh graduate, around 2k. Just wondering should I take it or not. What bright future and certificate? Like IR, STEAM ENGINEER, ETC. I'm deciding now because im quite the age for a fresh grad, close to 30. I don't wanna change job or scope. Anyone experienced in automation mechanical Design may enlighten me please? <3
