Team Lava

I seriously think there is a need to gather all buddies who are currently playing any of those Team Lava games. Especially the ladies, I have met quite a number of local Malaysian on FS, RS, BS and currently the latest DHS.

It's annoying to ask the same person again for their storm8 ID each time we hop on a new S's game. And yet we need to do that because the more nbrs we keep, we faster we earn more coins or diamonds etc....

So, is there anyone out there?

Febrille Seizure / Epilepsy

I found this thread of Epilepsy, last active 2 yrs ago. I thought I should start a new one and get more opinions/sharing in a wider range.

Someone in the family who has been a very smart guy since young and excel well at work and he is in his mid-age now. He has a very stressful life since young, being competitive among his peer/schools/work. He has seizure attacks since early 20s, and it has been almost 20yrs by now, it is 'manageable' so far. The seizure symptom he has is:

1. He gets stiff at his face, and certain parts of his hands and legs only.

Face - his eyes roll up, his lips varies from usual too, probably rolling upwards as well. Nothing comes out from his mouth.

Hand - he covers his face when he knows he has an attack cos he is shameful of himself

Legs - he walks in smaller steps

Conscious - he knows when he is under attack, he can control it for not having it in office, but he release the tension usually during lunch time when he is outside, or night time at home. At times it is dangerous cos he is walking during traffic lights. He gets back to normal within 30-50seconds. It happens once a day. But he'd prefer to say it comes in a 'series', that in certain weeks he gets it daily, then he doesnt until certain weeks later again. He doesnt get it during weekends daytime when he is relaxing with his family and enjoying himself. He might get it once a while in weekend daytime when he is alone/less enjoyable moments, eg, walking in street/shopping. I mean he wont get an attack when he is in a party enjoying himself or chatting happily with ppl or having a meal - so, it is "manageable".

2. It was more serious in his previous job which is making good money but extremely stressful - his job nature requires him to have full attention whenever he is at work and response as quick as possible. His previous job was worse cos he has a bad tempered superior at work; he gets seizure almost every weekdays when he was at work. With his current job now, he gets seizure only every now and then, i'd say maybe once every few months.

We tried to convince him to change to a mild job nature but since he has been the boss in the family all these while, no one can ever convince him at all. And he is willing to die without enjoying his money, thats a very sad thing to all of us. I can do nothing but trying to gather as many info for him as possible.

He has bad sights, periodontitis, weak stomach, his body is rotting. He has an excellent mind, high IQ, but low EQ to manage his own body. I'd say he stressed too much to achieve in his life, but neglect the rest, eg, his body.

If anyone who has a sharing on this, or anyone from medical line can provide more info on this would be very much appreciated.

1. Is this a situation that we can KIV for any longer?
2. Is this harmful to his body each time he is under attack?
3. Does he need medication?
4. Any proper name for this symptom? Since it has a lot to do with his stress level, i wonder if epilepsy/seizure fits the symptom at all.

****

febrille seizure

Im sharing this for parents who have kids below 6-year-old, but there are older kids get it as well, or even adults. The following contents are digested by me from all online info/first aid books i have read many years ago, it is extracted for your information. U can google for more details.

1. FS occurs when fever raise quickly within 24hrs
2. Kids below 6yo are having chances to get this, and usually it occurs to kids below 2yo.
3. It is more common to boys than girls.
4. It has a family history - a cousin of my son had it when he was at the same age, his uncle has epilepsy as well. But these two boys dont have a 2nd time of FS before they reach their 6th birthday.

Things to do:
1. Lay him down on flat surface, on either of his sides to allow any liquid might come out from his mouth to avoid chocking.
2. Do nothing else, but wait. It wont be more than 10min. Dont try to put anything into his mouth at all.
3. If it is the first time, get him examined by doctor.

My child has febrille seizure at the age of 19-month-old. He had fever as usual at 99f since 3am, i gave him medi at 3 & 7am then i went out to shopping and forgot the next time for medi was 11am, he was still lower than 99f when i went out. By 12noon, i was told that his temperature was 100f, then 102 for another 30min, he was given medi and bath in cold water, but it is a mess. Before I manage to reach home, he has a febrille seizure for 5 min. It was like 5 years for the person who was taking care of him. He gave him his finger to bite and then when it is over, i met them all in hospital. My son was exhausted and not even able to call me but only to look at me and laid on me while waiting for the procedures for admission into the hospital.

He was thoroughly checked and alright but remain observation for 24hrs in hospital, i was with him there. He was jumpy the next morning and couldnt wait to back home.

What is the best music instrucment to learn?

My 6-year-old is being required to choose 2 music instruments to learn in school. Looks like the school is going to help him build his interests and knowledge into these two choices till he finishes his primary school. Here's the questions for you great musicians/artists out there:

What is the best/funful to be chosen from?

Im thinking about piano like a must, unless u have some other points to beat me.
How about the 2nd choice? What should it be? Drum looks fun for a new learner kiddo but is the knowledge usable in future? Or i should just focus on giving him a fun time? how about other choices? Your opinions and sharing are very much appreciated.

Piano Lessons

I used to see advertisements about quick short course on piano within certain lessons instead of going through the long process from learning all theories and practicing non stop... Is there still such a course somewhere nowadays? What is the best way for an adult to learn piano without going thr the long process before he can start playing/complete playing a song?

The interests usually die out after learning all those theories/drawing of notes before fully understand how it works plus too expensive to spend such a short time with the teacher Money isnt an issue just that the traditional way of teaching is very boring

Do you just throw away any used batteries which die out fast eg on MP3, PC mouse,....
or do you keep them for other minor usage? eg, clock?

More than a decade ago i used to get a tester as a free gift come along in a pack of AA batteries, and used it to check the avaliability of the used batteries... but i dont see it anymore. I have a 80yo nanny at home who enjoys spending her day with her radio but she also enjoys carrying the radio everywhere she goes so she wont use plug. We keep buying her batteries till we broke cos each time 4 pcs could probably last her for less than a week....

Your is seriously needed and much appreciated! THANK YOU!

I like the old sides of it, i dont need high-end residential area, i prefer peaceful small little town, have my meal and bank issues/postoffice stuff done within walking distance under bright sunlight.

Kepong seems excellent in environment wise: chinese residential/chinese primary school/old town with everything needed,... except new developed and good apt/condo, limited choice of average good chinese primary...

Any of your comments are very much appreciated!
