Anyone do any research on this product by Prudential under UOB? I tried reading the tnc and could not find any suspicious part. Capital guaranteed. Annual income of 4.8%. Short term 2 years. Better than any fixed deposit return. Please enlighten me. Thank you.

Hi there, i need some help here. Anyone renew roadtax from MYEG before and then MYEG is still processing the sticker after few weeks? Can i ask for the cancellation of roadtax sticker renewal and ask for a refund? Since I go JPJ renew will be faster now. Anyone did that before? Thank you!

Stamp Duty and Shoplot Without Title

How is the stamp duty being calculated if the transfer is from 4 owner to 4 owner? Example the shoplot price is 2m. The property shares are equally divided. Does the stamp duty for each of the new owner need to pay is based on the shares they buy for instance is 500k in this case or the stamp duty will be paid based on 2m and then divided among the 4 new owners?

Will there also be any cost difference for buying property with individual title and without title (only master title) other than the procedure difference?

Home Renovation

First of all, I admit it was my mistake for not consulting more than 1 contractor firm before the renovation.

The story starts from here, I found a contractor for renovation through a friend and since it is referred by my friend, I believe the price that the contractor quote would be reasonable until the middle of the renovation, when I shared the renovation cost with my other friends, they all told me that I have been overcharged at least 30% more of the market price.

The renovation should cost around rm50k to a max rm60k after I compared with other 3 renovation company and the quotation that the contractor gave me is around rm80k. At this moment, I only paid him the deposit and no black and white being signed. Only show the quotation through whatsapp but I already paid rm60k to the contractor at the middle stage.

Now, the renovation work already finished and the contractor wants to collect the remaining rm20k. The renovation also delayed for extra 1 n half months from what the contractor promised me which makes me lost the rental and the painting work is not consistent with the bathroom water always not flowing out and clogged and the gate does not has any lock hole to lock etc. With all the lousy services that I get and the premium overcharged cost that I need to pay, I'm wondering should I pay or is there anything else that I can do in order to not paying as this contractor is overcharging me.

I did not ask him to fix all the stuff that he did not do it properly as I believe the outcomes will also be the same. Therefore, I went to find other people to do it and this cost me again. Will it helps if I complaint this contractor to the consumer tribunal by using the anti profiteering law or is there any other thing I can do? This contractor is planning to sue me using lawyer at this moment though.
