Taking Cold Shower After Exercise

My exercise routine is a 20-minute session on the treadmill at home three times a week and I would be sweating profusely.
It is probably not good to take a cold shower straight after a workout but I do not like to wait longer than necessary.
I would do some light stretching exercise while waiting for the body to cool down but I prefer to keep my routine short to save time.
How long is the waiting/cooling-off time recommended before we go take a shower after some vigorous exercise?
Is it really bad for the body to shower straight after exercise?

Tiler and Kitchen Cabinet Maker

I would like some recommendations from forummers of tilers and kitchen cabinet/wardrobe makers to do the following work in my apartment in Old Klang Road, KL:

1. Tiling works
Remove existing floor tiles of Dining and Kitchen areas and install with polished 2'x2' porcelain tiles.

2. Kitchen Cabinet and wardrobe
Remove existing cabinets and install whole set of kitchen cabinets based on plans provided. Same for bedroom wardrobe (1 set)

The e-ticket printout states 'KL International Airport Low Cost Terminal'?
I only know KLIA and LCCT. Now, which terminal exactly do they refer to?

Buying Property from Auction

I am considering buying property from auction as the prices look tempting. I understand there are risks involved.
Anyone has experience to share in buying property from an auction?
What are the pitfalls and how do you overcome them? Is it worth going taking the risk?

I can imagine the main problems are:

1. Occupied property - how do deal with occupant who refuses to move out?
2. Unsettled utility bills, maintenance fees (for condos and properties with strata titles.
3. Problems with the paperwork?

Food Catering Service around IMU

I am posting this for a friend who started studying in IMU Bukit Jalil and is staying in Vista Komanwel.
It is tough looking for a place to eat around that area especially when one does not have transport.

Do you have any food caterer (home cooked meal delivery) to recommend for that area? Where do
the IMU students go for their meals?

Rawang to Bukit Jalil

I have to make frequent trips driving from the north (Ipoh) via N-S Highway to Bukit Jalil (Vista Komanwel).

This is the route I have been taking:

- Exit from the Jalan Duta Toll
- drive along Jalan Duta, Jalan Damansara, then enter Jalan Syed Putra near the Istana ( Federal Highway)
- turrn off to Old Klang Road
- turn into OUG, then right to Jalan Awan Besar, straight on over the KESAS h/w
- turn right to Taman Esplanade, pass IMU, Vista Komanwel

I was wondering if this is the shortest and quickest route and whether there are other better routes.

Using google map, I found 2 more routes:

- exit Damansara Toll, follow LDP to Puchong then use the Bukit Jalil h/w. This route goes through a few tolls of course.
- exit Subang Toll, follow Federal Highway then follow LDP as above.

Another alternative is to drive straight to Sg Besi via Jalan Duta and turn to KESAS h/w to go to Bukit Jalil.

Which route do you think is the best?

Engineering Degree in IPTS

My friend has just received his SAM results which are 4B's with TER of 83.6.
He is planning on pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.
It seems he is not qualified for Nottingham or Monash U. Do they consider applicants who do not meet their minimum requirements, being IPTS?
Which other IPTS would you recommend?
Which is better - INTI/Taylor? What about Curtin/Swinbourne in E. Malaysia?
What about UNITEN/MMU? What are the pros and cons? Cost is not a constraint here.

I have two versions of programs in my pc, say Autocad 2006 and Autocad 2008.
When I click on a drawing file, the computer automatically opens the file in Autocad 2008.
How do I change the setting so that drawings are opened with Autocad 2006?

My blank word document always has the font set on Times Roman.
How do I get it changed to a font of my choice, say Ariel, so that I don't need to change from Times Roman every time I go into Word program? Thanks.

Is it possible to scan a desktop PC for virus with anti-virus from a laptop? If it is, how do you do it?
I understand that once a PC is infected, you need to have the hard disk scanned with another computer. How effective is it?

How difficult is it to get a place for dentistry in NUS?
I suppose the requirements must be very high for a highly-rated university like the NUS.
I understand candidates have to go through an interview and a 'manual dexterity' test.
Anyone knows what it takes to land a place for dentistry in NUS or have friends who have secured a place there before? Thanks.

I have a brother who is currently doing A-levels (exam in June 2010)and is planning to pursue a degree in dentistry.

He is looking at the various options - local IPTS, twinning and abroad, preferably for the September 2010 intake. Cost and recognition are important factors to consider. I notice most of the intakes are in Jan though.

Which of these would you recommend for quality education at reasonable cost? Would be nice to get first hand advice from students currently pursuing the course at the institutions.

Third Party Insurance Renewal

I'm having problem renewing the insurance for my 16 year-old car. Used to pay for 3rd party insurance premium - RM70+ yearly.The company (Pacific & Oriental) which I have been going to now refuses to renew the insurance. Been to eight other insurance companies and same thing happened
Seems there was a change of policy of the insurance company lately because the 3rd party insurance is losing business.
Some say you have to go to PUSPAKOM to have the vehicle inspected.
Alternative is a get comprehensive insurance which is expensive (more than 3x) and unnecessary.
Do you face the same problem? Any other insurance companies/agents which would accept 3rd party for old cars?

Data Transfer from Old PC

I have files/data stored in my old pc's which do not have USB socket or VCD burner, only the floppy disk (A: ) drive. What is the best way to transfer the data from the old pc's to the hard disk of a new pc?
