my question as per title.will my proc bottleneck hd 6870 crossfire?is it thru that cpu bottleneck can be eliminated by ocing the proc above 3.2ghz?im using phenom2 x2 555,but unlocked to x4 at 3.6ghz stock volt,is it enuf?do i need to change proc or oc higher for maximum performance?pls share ur opinion on this thank you.

note:my pc setup as per sig.

anyone know how?im using 2 msi hawk 5770 in crossfire.sometime when playing guitar hero world tour/legends of rock i get stutters/lagging because core clock lower down tremendously during gameplay.it din happen when im palying codmw2 or crysis/warhead tho.both cards r one week old so i dun want to mess with bios yet(radeon bios editor).is there any software that can help?

my psu able to power 2 gtx 260 216sp so power requirement is not an issue here.my mobo pcie lanes becomes 8x 8x when crossfire,will this further bottleneck my pc?ive seen the review on 5770 cf,it scales well and in certain test can beat a 5850.but still the 128bit memory interface bugged me.so what do u guys think?planning to buy msi 5770 hawk edition btw.

guys can help me choose between this 2 psu:

Vantec ION2+ Real Power Modular 700W @ rm370

Xigmatek NRP-PC702 700W @ rm340

im going to sli my gtx 260 soon so my strider 560w will not be able to handle the job.looking at these 2 psu rite now.both same wattage(700w) but the vantec is modular.
modular or not is not the main criteria i seek.all i need is a 700w psu with 4 pcie connector as i dun want to use the 4 to 6pin pcie adapter.i need reply asap coz both seller got stock and im going to cod on friday night.

anybody know how to rma silverstone psu.im going to sell off my strider 560w,the receipt from shop is still with me but shop warranty ended already(1 yrs).but the psu is still under warranty from silverstone(3 yrs).if want to rma the psu directly how ar?for now the psu is still working just wanna ask incase the psu is faulty in future.thx.

hi wanna ask..8 pin to 8 pin extension cable for psu exist ke?if yes,u guys know where to buy it?my strider 8 pin cable for mobo is too short la.psu is bottom mounted(in casing)so it cant reach the mobo plug.silverstone did give an extension cable but its 4 pin to 8 pin.if u know any forummer selling also can.thx.

for the past few days ive been running all 4 sticks at 533mhz(1066) speed with 5.7.7.24 timings.since these rams are actually ddr2 800(5.5.5.18 timings), is it safe to use this speed?voltage used now is 2.0v.i touched the ram,the heat is tolerable.its warm but not too hot though.passed occt with nil error too.i know that the performance gain is not much or none at all but if the ram is capable of running such speed then why not.

also what's the sweetest timings to go with ddr2 1066 ram?coz i think i might be able to lower the timing a bit more.so give me ur opinion k thx.

morning to all,anyone care to explain to me what is svid support? last night i was trying to hit 3.4ghz but failed.i wonder is there is anything to do
with it.i know the basic fundamentals of ocing,and i can get 3.2ghz occt 6 hrs stable with 1.325v for both cpu and nb.(by setting thru the hex value option not with this svid support option.).the svid option i leave it to auto(for both cpu and nb.)i just wanna know what is the function of this option and how it affect oc.

hi,noob here.recently i did some mild oc to my x2 7850 be.from 2.8 oc'ed to 3.15 ghz on stock voltage using xfx 750a sli mobo(crappy mobo i know.no need to

remind me) edi done 8 hrs of orthos,memtest,and prime all stable.0 errors.

u see,i hv this everest ultimate edition which has a build in temperature monitoring.for cpu temperature it indicate 3 readings which r cpu1/core1,cpu1/core2 and temp cpu.

on idle,both cpu1/core1 and cpu1/core2 does not exceed 17 celcius.while for temp cpu the reading is 42 celcius.

can sumone tell me where this 42 celcius reading come from? correct me if im wrong is this right? : cpu1/core1 + cpu1/core2 = temp cpu

but in my case 17+17=34.so i should get 34 celcius instead of 42 right?

any explanation is greatly appreciated thnx.
