Aussie firms deterred by Malaysia’s slow internet

Australian companies intending to invest in Malaysia are concerned over the slow Internet speed in the country, says Malaysia-Australia Business Council vice-chairman Michael Halpin.

Speedier Internet access was crucial to large Australian companies which have a lot of big documents to be sent from here to their headquarters in Australia, he said.

" Some of the technical documents can be very very large and quite often we find that the documents take a very long time to get through or don''t get through at all with the slow Internet speed in Malaysia.

" The Internet speed in Australia is much much faster than here. Australian and American investors see this as a nuisance and an impediment to them to do business successfully here," he told reporters after delivering a luncheon talk to Selangor state government officials, representatives from business councils and foreign embassies.

Asked whether the Internet speed in Malaysia was worse than in neighbouring countries, Halpin said: " Not worse off but does Malaysia wants to be at the same level as them?. Malaysia has been ahead as the investment destination choice but the difference between Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam has been diminishing." - Bernama

R&B superstar Beyonce to perform in KL

PETALING JAYA: R&B superstar Beyonce has confirmed she will play the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Oct 25.

The show, organised by Marctensia and UCSI Communications, will see the 28-year-old perform in Kuala Lumpur for the first time.

Her “I am…” World Tour is the third worldwide concert tour by Beyoncé in support of her third studio album, I am ... Sasha Fierce. The tour has visited North America and Europe.

Hi, I want to know what is the games that same type just like the Dead Or Alive. I like this type of games. really kewll
I've played street fighter when I was small, but it's seem not that kewl to play nowadays because of the graphic what so ever. looks more to arcade.
Dead or alive don't have pc version right? any other games that is same just like this? capcom mugen maybe??

Where can I get it in lowyat??? I heard that PowerLogic brand is not that good. Better for me to go for a china brand casing izzit? I saw JNC, E-Mag casing around this prices... and it's looks quite good eventhough it's cheap...

Right now at my college, the stupid admin has blocked the network. ALL of the website blocked EXCEPT google.com! how stupid is that.. So I want to know, it there a way to bypass them? using some software maybe? dun ask me to use proxy bcuz it's doesn't work at all..

Why I cant enter any website?
Try to ping by using command also cannot. But when I using proxy 219.93.175.68:3128 it's work. Why?! streamyx problem or wut?

How-To Increase Wireless Signal?

Hi all.

I'm using Wireless Pci 54Mbps @ my pc (Ad-hoc Networking) to connect with all my neighbour which is stay besides of my house. They can get 2 or 3 signal / 5 bar.

But right now I want to know how-to increase the signal.. so that my friends who stay at the next road (the range is about 150 meter) to get my connection?. Right now, he can only get 1 / 5 bar signal... and sometimes no signal..

I heard that by using DIY CANTENNA can boost the signal right? but I dont know how to make it possible because dont know how to make it

Any tips that I can improve the signal? if I put foil at the antenna can boost the signal or not?

If somebody who study in electric/electronic/tele-communication engineering can clarity on this plz response to this topic.

Hi. I just bought Netgear 54Mbps Wireless PCI adapter to work on my pc.

And I also have laptop that have built-in WiFi.

My Q. is how to connect my laptop that doesnt have internet connection to the pc that have internet connection

I've try sooo many things but it still doesnt work! Its so hard to config the wireless pci!!!

Maybe somebody can help me on this! Im stucked already. donno what to do

As I know I have to setup static IP on my pc. so that its gonna communicate with my laptop rite?
