Gaming i7 5k-6k, help please

Hi all, I decided to get a PC now rather than wait for DDR4 so would appreciate on some comments for my proposed PC below. Primarily used for gaming, but I also plan to learn the Unity engine so some 3D work there too. Budget is between 5k to 6k.

CPU: Core i7 4790 - RM969
Mobo: ???? - suggestions? There are so many models and I have no idea where to start or what the differences are.
RAM: Corsair VG PC2400 16GB - RM789
GPU: AMD R9 290 - not sure which brand. Also, is a GTX 780 Ti (and PhysX) worth the ~RM500 difference?
SSD: ???? - no idea what's a good brand, never bought one before. Preferably 240GB.
PSU: ???? - How many watts?
Casing: ????

Also I don't plan to overclock, so would I need a cooler?

Appreciate your help!

Build gaming PC now or wait for DDR4?

Hey folks, appreciate some help and opinions here.

I have been mulling building a new gaming PC recently after my Core 2 Duo machine from 2007 finally died on me. I haven't been really keeping up with the tech advancements since 2007 so am really struggling with picking the right parts now.

Before I ask for recommendations on a gaming rig, do you folks think it's a good time to build one now, or is a new iteration of something on the horizon and I should be waiting until then? I read that DDR4 memory is coming out probably end of this year, and I'm inclined to wait for that.

Your informed opinions are appreciated!
