6 of us (malaysian chinese university students) are looking for an apartment WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE to FRIM Kepong.

Will be staying there from 14th May - end of July.

Preferably half-furnished to fully furnished.

We are okay also with an apartment with people staying in there too, as long as there are rooms enough for 6 of us.

i have a Toshiba Satellite L510

When I double click on an icon on my desktop or in any folders, the "Properties" menu comes out!

To open a program i had to left click => open file

And when i type in any program like internet exp and ms word, wierd stuff happens like when i type 'F', the File menu pops out!

its really annoying me and i had to restart my comp 5-6 times juz so my keyboard turn bac to normal.

Hope you guys can help me out thnx!!

University lvl Chemistry

I wanna know...

1. What Chemistry book titles shud i buy??...my lecturers recomended alot of books...but they are humongous...in terms of the size AND price...*empty wallet coughs*

2. My Phy.Chem teacher recommended Atkins Phy Chem...but i only have the 7th Ed...and the latest is 8th ed...wats the difference?

3. I heard Chem students hav to buy lab coats and googles...how much, and shud i really invest in my own lab coat and googles?? And anybody wanna sell their used Chem books and lab coats and googles?

4. Is it wise to bring humongous textbooks to lectures? Or go to lectures with just a notebook to jot down wat the lecturer says, and then go back at my room to study furthur? Or is it better to read some topics before i enter lectures?

Im a freshie in Um studying Applied Chem btw...just in case...the difference between pure and applied chem is just that Applied includes industrial training at several companies to fufill their 6 credit hours, while pure chems do projects (research) of their choice with their teachers.

B.Sc.Applied Chemistry

So~!

UPU results came out already, and I got myself the above mentioned course on a lovely busy day of working my pants off. The uni was UM.

Firstly, i was elated with the word UM...but elation dropped when i found out it was Applied Chemistry (Kimia Gunaan). I found no mention of this course in any other IPTAs.

Applied Chemistry was my....fourth choice.

And shamefully, I do not know what applied chemistry really is! What's the difference between this and B.Sc. Chemistry?

During my application, I choose the course after some online info seems to imply that applied chemistry focuses more on industrialization (like industrial chemistry in USM, which I didn't get!) compared to B.Sc.Chemistry...really??

I asked my collegue, who was a graduate from Faculty of Sc in UM...and he told me the course focuses on industrialization while B.Sc.Chemistry focuses on research.

I looked through UM's Faculty of Chemistry website and they didn't provide any useful info.

I asked my chemistry teacher...but i don't remember what she said...and I think she doesn't know too.

I asked my senior (he's studying another course), he said it's akin to industrial chemistry in UNIMAS.

So~!

I wanna ask any of you (anybody who .... studies applied chem/ knows a relative-friend-enemy-acquaintances who studies this course)....

1. What are the difference between B.Sc.Applied Chemistry and B.Sc.Chemistry?
2. Are internships offered for B.Sc.Applied Chemistry undergraduates?
3. Between B.Sc.Applied Chemistry and B.Sc.Applied Chemistry, which one emphasizes more on chemical industry?

or in short....what is B.Sc. Applied Chemistry?

Does anybody know how to go to Popular Books HQ by bus from KTM Tasik Selatan?

Please tell me which rapid kl bus or other buses should i take, and how does the Popular HQ building look like?

I'm sooooo sorry, some guys are gonna hate me...but this is an act of desperation. Lol! Anyway, Mr.Administrator, feel free to move my post if you see fit to~!

1.My Sony Ericsson gave me the white screen of death, so I took out battery, and put it back.
2.But cannot switch on my hp.
3.When I connect the hp to the recharger, the infrared port glowed red (no, did NOT blink-blink red)
4. Ask Sony Center how much to reflash, say it's RM150.
5. Ask the price to change motherboard: almost the same price as a new one.
6. So i left my phone in the center to be diagnosed. Two days later they smsed me this:

labour charge: RM45
Power IC: RM88
Update software: RM150

Total: RM283

Will repair, but not guarentee my hp will work.

Then they ask me to give them my answer. Agree or not.

The price gave me heart attack!! Update software? I tot u can get it free from Sony Ericsson website? And already the reflash price sent my brain shockwaves!

So....i wanna ask...what do they mean by power IC and update software? And why shud they replace my power IC and update the software? Do you guys think I shud accept it? Seriously, the price is really high...i'll have to go puasa for 7 days to cover that cost!

And any of you guys can offer to repair my hp, but lower than the said RM283? Or do you guys know any good repair shops based on your personal experience? Really appreciate any advice~ thanks!
