I m planning to get a place for own stay, not for investment.
Prefer to get a place nearby to LRT/public transport as I dun have a car yet.

as the title said, budget around 160K...

Need Help on 1 issue

Hi to all sifus, need help/advise on this case.

Situation:
Paid the agent/negotiator a booking fee for a property with an agreed purchase price. Later found that the property's developer was a runaway case a.k.a. bankruptcy developer, but the so called professional agent didn't inform upfront on this. Unit was advertised that it comes with strata title. Most banks declined to finance mentioned property.
When confronted him, he said can get full refund, but 3 minutes later I've received a call from the owner telling me hundred of stories and tell me he got jalan can arrange confirm loan up to 90% but insist no refund on the booking fee as whatever the agent told or didn't tell is/are not valid reason(s).

in this situation it is clearly a deceiving case. Some of my frens suggested to lodge a police reports and to proceed with legal actions.
Thinking seriously about this caused it may/will destroy someone's future if really proceed with legal action.

Questions:
1)Any place like an organisation/government dept that we can lodged a complaint against such so called professionals?
2)What the next course of action if the agent MIA?
3)How to fight for the deposits back?
