Guys, my friend has a unit of YSP5600 but he lost the calibration mic. i have the Arcam and Denon calibration mic. anyone has tried using other mic to calibrate the YSP5600? i am afraid that the difference in the mic impedance would cause a big variation in the calibration

i am using a projector and would like to know which device could i use to stream 4K HDR with Atmos sound to my HT.

i m currently using my PS4 Pro but it doesnt support Atmos output.

Patching Drill Bits Hole

Guys,

my contractor has drilled several holes but the size is too big for the Bolt to anchor.

i have tried using cement and plaster to patch it back but the materials are too soft for the Bolt to anchor on.

is there any epoxy or filler that i could use to patch back the hole?

2. Can play 4K HDR
3. Support 7.1 HDMI output
4. Can playback BDMV or ISO

Bought a PS4 Pro but it only supports Netflix 4K but it doesn't support movie playback in 4K

Subwoofer Repair

Hi....i have 1 unit of Earthquake MiniMe P12 which cracks/distort even at low volume. It only started to happen recently.

This Sub uses a passive radiator on 1 side and active 12" at the opposite side and i realized that when i press in either side on the sub, i could hear air leaking. i suspect that this is the cause of the distortion.

Is there any place which i could send the sub for repairing?

i plan to do the following system for my house (still under construction) using my old Denon Amp.

for the zone control, i will be using mobile apps so that i could do it anywhere in the house but i need some advice from the gurus here.

1. If i wish to add a zone 4, is there any amp in the market which support 4 zone and could be controlled by apps?

2. for the goldenear HTR 7000 used for the toilet, do you think it could withstand the high moisture and water vapor from hot shower? the specification of the speaker does not state the operating humidity level.

3. i am trying to source for 2 to 2 HDMI +IR extender through IP locally but dont have any luck so far. do you know where i can find such thing?

Projector Screen

Hi Guys,

i am now planning for my new home theater room/Hifi room and i need some advice on the projector screen.

i plan to use Sony VPL-HW40ES with a screen somewhere around 110-120" but i am not sure if i should go for a fixed screen or a motorized screen.

My priority goes to my Hifi system and i plan to have a sound diffuser on the wall therefore i may not be able to use a fixed screen. If i got for an acoustically transparent screen, would it help?

if i use motorized screen, for such size, will it goes out of shape after sometime?

For the screen, what brand should i go for? i am trying to keep my budget below RM3k if possible.

NCD After Car was Stolen

Need your help. My car was stolen in January and i have already received my claim from AXA (it was 55% NCD). In my next purchase, I have called Kurnia and Takaful insurance to check on my NCD and they said that my NCD has been affected and its back to 0%.

Both Kurnia and Takaful has confirmed that if the vehicle is stolen NOT due to self negligence, NCD would not be affected. They have also checked my NCD report and it stated that my car was broken into and stolen not due to my fault. Both the insurance company confirmed that my NCD should not be affected but they need AXA to release a letter for the NCD transfer.

AXA said that my NCD is now 0% and nothing could be done. AXA said once vehicle is stolen NCD will be affected. Could anyone help clarify this for me?

Guys....i have a unit of Tab S 10.5 which i plan to use for slide presentation.

I have bought a unit of MHL to HDMI converter which works well with most of the HDMI monitor but i also to convert the signal to VGA for some projector or TV that does not have HDMI input.

I have tried the passive HDMI to VGA converter but it does not work. The converter works with my laptop (HDMI to VGA) but it does not work with the Tab S.

Any suggestion to convert the output to VGA?

I would like to create a FTP folder in a storage server and several of my computers will backup data to the server by daily schedule. Is it possible to set up the FTP folder to have only 30days data retention? this means that any data saved to the folder will only be retained for a specific time and auto delete after it expires.

Is this possible with Windows or any 3rd party software that i could use?
