XIAOMI AX3200 router warning !

Dear forum users,

XIAOMI AX3200 router website information: XIAOMI AX3200
Shopee: Buy AX3200

I write up this post to WARN all future buyers of XIAOMI AX3200 (based on MediaTek chipset)

If want to buy the router, to mesh with other models of XIAOMI AX routers, TAKE NOTE AX3200 does not
mesh ALL XIAOMI AX routes. It will mesh with only certain models.

I don't think Shopee sellers out there, who bought the stock from manufacturers, want to
INFORM buyer about this pitfall in the production description.

Read the FINE print Click on the picture to see the fine print at the bottom.

I don't get the logic, AX3000 is based on Qualcomm Chipset, based on the fine print,
it supports meshing with AX3200.

While AX3600 is also based on Qualcomm Chipset, and yet it does not support meshing.

XIAOMI developers suck big time.

I just burnt RM200, it is useless, I cannot mesh with my powerful XIAOMI AX3600 main router.

Hello All,

Just wondering if anyone out there can assist me.

I am trying to determine what is the VERSION number on this TM TP-link Archer C1200 router

See the picture below:

Thank you

Maxis Archer c5v router Wifi Signal 2GHz+5GHz

Hi guys,

Recently, I bought an Xiaomi AX3600 router and I have set it up as an wireless access point.

Reason: To increase the wireless coverage. So far the upgrade was a success and worthed every dollar
I spent on the AX3600.

Ok, back to the real pesky question:
My Maxis home fibre contract has ended recently. I made a choice to upgrade to higher speed from 30 => to 100mbps

So, technically, I own the Maxis Archer c5v router, correct???? Of course, I do own it.......

Question: Why I cannot disable the wireless signal on my router?

Every time, I disable the 2GHz + 5GHz signal, the router will re-enable by itself. No BS!!!

I contacted Maxis technical support, and the lady just casually replied that my router had an system upgrade.
What kind of system upgrade, I did not find out. But to me, happened 2 times already.

You as a end user, I can disable it manually. But I told her this problem has occurred 2 times already.

I told her it looks like system upgrade will happen after a few hours.

The lady on the phone just went silent.

I also did not want to repeat this problem to her. Even though she sounds like helping me,
but I can judge from the way she responded, she was not willing to proceed the next level.

That is consult her supervisor for advice on handling my question.

So, I said thank you and ended the phone conversation.

Maybe try my luck on some other days and talk to a real tech support guy
who can really help me.

C'mon I own the router, and yet I cannot disable the wireless signal. How ridiculous?

Any comment? or advice?

TM streamyxm 2Mbps - port forwarding question

Hi All,

I need some expert advice here.

My client has got this TM Streamyx 2mbps line.
At the office, the adsl modem is a Riger DB120WL.

Riger DB120WL

Yes, the external WAN IP was to be private, TM had changed
from private to public, long time ago.

I have set up port forwarding using port: 65122.
I tested the port: 65122, using a port checker, it is open.

However, if I set up another port forwarding, e.g: 8000, or in fact, any other
numbers, I could not get port forwarding working. Why?

My client need to call TM technical to request for open port?

Thank you.

Does anyone knows, and tell me that my Intel i7 4790 is a real lemon?

I bought this CPU from a online platform, but it works fine, but just has
no internal graphic build in.

Does it means it is fake one?

So far, I have another CPU that I bought from online, also has the same problem.
it is i7-7700T, it does not output video using its internal graphic built in
card

Can someone shed some light into this problem of mine?

Thank you.

TM VIP 5 = Alcatel-Lucent VDSL modem + L7NR2000

Hi All,

I have been using TM UNIFI for almost half year now.
No hassle with connection so far.
But the stock wireless router given to me so far
was a bit disappointing in its wireless range.

So my goal is... I would like to replace the standard TM wireless router with my own choice.
I have been doing some research on Google and tech blogs, and get as much information
as possible.

Currently I am using the following hardware:

1) Alcatel-Lucent VDSL/BTU/OTU modem(white colour), the modem has network 4 ports.

2) L7NR2000 wireless router, the router has 4 network ports + 1 WAN port.

The VDSL modem network port 1 is connected to the wireless router's WAN port.

What I am trying to ascertain here is to find out the VLAN setting.
(Assuming all TM UNIFI network is using VLAN tagging, VLAN 500- internet traffic, VLAN 600- video traffic,
I just want to double confirm whether I am right here, I want to see for myself)

When I went to the L7NR2000 wireless router web interface.
I could not find the VLAN configuration setting.
I search high and low on the web interface, but just could
not find it.

I believe this is a customized L7 network firmware built for TM as an OEM wireless router.
Not a standard firmware built for Dlink, although it resembles a DIR-614 hardware:A1 wireless router.

Could the VLAN setting actually hidden and NOT available to fiddle
with to prying customer like me

Hope someone in forum can give some advice on this technical question.

Thank you.
