Your Highness (2010)

QUOTE

Throughout history, tales of chivalry have burnished the legends of brave, handsome knights who rescue fair damsels, slay dragons and conquer evil. But behind many a hero is a good-for-nothing younger brother trying just to stay out of the way of those dragons, evil and trouble in general. Danny McBride and James Franco team up for an epic comedy adventure set in a fantastical world--Your Highness. As two princes on a daring mission to save their land, they must rescue the heir apparent's fiancée before their kingdom is destroyed.

Thadeous (McBride) has spent his life watching his perfect older brother Fabious (Franco) embark upon valiant journeys and win the hearts of his people. Tired of being passed over for adventure, adoration and the throne, he's settled for a life of wizard's weed, hard booze and easy maidens. But when Fabious' bride-to-be, Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel), gets kidnapped by the evil wizard Leezar (Justin Theroux), the king gives his deadbeat son an ultimatum: Man up and help rescue her or get cut off.

Half-assedly embarking upon his first quest, Thadeous joins Fabious to trek across the perilous outlands and free the princess. Joined by Isabel (Natalie Portman)--an elusive warrior with a dangerous agenda of her own--the brothers must vanquish horrific creatures and traitorous knights before they can reach Belladonna. If Thadeous can find his inner hero, he can help his brother prevent the destruction of his land. Stay a slacker, and not only does he die a coward, he gets front row seats to the dawn of an all-new Dark Ages.

Page last updated by fishermanhossmk, imdb 3 weeks ago
Top Contributors: fishermanhossmk (View full history)

I predict this thread will get zero reply coz it's not a comic hero movie

OS: Vista Home Premium 64, notebook: 2 week old dell sxps16

QUOTE

Last week, I faced some BSOD probs, but solved it by uninstalling the KB973879 Microsoft Update.

Things were relatively crash-free after that.

Yesterday I went to look at the downloaded but uninstalled MS Updates (horribly BAD idea) and picked some updates while unticking 2 of those KB#### updates.

At restart, the ShutDown process went (screen is black, comp still on) on for an absurdly long time... I can't make it reboot with the ON button, in the end after 20 minutes I just removed the battery.

Argh!! Why??

QUOTE

Restarted and went into Startup Repair, then logged in.. there's this 'Test Mode' small text at all 4 corners of the wallpaper, and the Vista effects were off, i wonder what else is off in Test Mode?

CODE

Security Update for MS Win (KB972260)
Update for MS Win (KB969058)
Update for MS Win (KB973874)
Win IE 8

I uninstalled all 3 Windows updates done yesterday except IE8. Then restarted.. the ShutDown took a long time and ended with a BSOD.... I think it was 'Power Driver Fail'? I forgot to remember the exact wording

Restarted in 'Last Good Configuration', rebooted and scheduled a Memory Diagnostics Tool run.

Result: No mem probs.

Now I don't know what to expect next, but how do I get out of 'Test Mode' and start Vista in its usual manner, there's no options at boot and F1 offers no help.

I just bought a new dell studio xps after my old acer got busted, its 500gb drive looks like this:

OS (C 451gb
Recovery (D 15gb

I don't know where the rest went, probably page file (4gb) and other windows stuff.

I downloaded a free software, 'Partition Wizard Home Edition' to split the hd.

When I bought it from dell, the online deal says windows 7 will come free, after some registration, they'll ship the dvd when it comes out.

What is the ideal partition for this setup below,

C: Vista 64bit
D: dell's recovery
E: windows 7

(^more important)

F: games
G: videos/misc storage

Can Win7 be installed in an extended partition? Due to the 4 primary partition limit, this is what happened
