Bold 9700 After Security Wipe

I bought a 9700 from a friend, which asked me to wipe all of his data inside his 9700. After I did a security wipe of the phone I let the phone restarts normally. After that security wipe, I setup the phone. Yes, the phone can go into Internet, FBing, Twittering etc but two things cannot be done: Making Outgoing Calls/SMS.

Anyone can help? My prediction is the Simcard which might need an upgrade, but I dunno since before that security wipe, I didn't test the Bold 2 into making calls etc. You help is much appreciated.

Celcom Broadband Sim on iPad 3G Problem...

I am using a celcom bb simcard in my ipad 3g 64gb. My problem is with the cellular connection and i had no problem with the wifi connection. My cellular connection sometimes dropped and i got no IP from celcom which doesn't allow me to connect to the Net... I have to disable my connection to 3g and edge and reenable them to get back the connection. This always happens when i put the pad into sleep and going back online...

Any pointers?

What is the main problem of my PC...

I have a gaming rig... Specifications follows:

1. Intel Quad Core Q6600
2. Corsair XMS 1GB x 2 piece
3. 320GB Hitachi HDD + 500GB WD HDD
4. 2x Leadtek 8800GTX TDH (SLI)
5. Asus P5N32E-SLI Plus
6. LG DVDRW
7. Windows 7 Ultimate

Okay, here is my problem... Yesterday, I tried to record my game (MW2) using a typical software into my HDD while running a 3D simulation... After playing for a while, I left the PC running for about 45-60 minutes unattended... When I go back to the PC, it was BSOD... Then I turned it off and tried to restart... But when I pushed the Power-On button, there was no display - not even the Mobo BIOS or the GFX Winfast 8800GTX TDH BIOS showing on the screen.

Further examination: Opening the case, I tried to monitor which fans is not working. There is one fan connected to the mobo not working. But when I changed the fan socket to another one, the fan works like a charm - still no bootup like above stated... Then I check the GFXs GPU fans, and both of them running fine... Further check; I removed both RAMs and installed one-by-one. Still no boot-up...

Can you guys help me giving some pointers to solve this (other than sending the hardware to warranty/burn them).... Need your expertise guys. Thanks...

[WTA] Upgrading Notebook CPU

I am using Inspiron 9400 (Dell) with 2GB Memory and 7950GTX (Upgraded from 7800). The lappie is using Core Duo 1.83Ghz and although my other specs are high (160GB with 7200rpm) the CPU seems to be the bottleneck of all.

I ask so many gaming forums and they ask me to upgrade the CPU (which is expensive if I buy from Dell). I am looking for a T7400 or T7600 CPU (Core 2 Duo) for my upgrade. The Inspiron 9400 can swap the processor after BIOS upgrade, I know. But again: WHERE CAN I BUY THE T7400@T7600 CPU in MALAYSIA? Anyone saw any shops selling the notebook CPU please PM@email me ASAP. Thanks...

Nokia Phones at CES 2007

As posted by gsmarena.com:

1. E90
2. E61i
3. N77
4. 6110 Navigator (GPS enabled)
5. 3xxx

The E90 seems nice... E61i is an upgrade from E61 but I think it will be more than just an update. N77 - TV capable phone (won't be seen this model if telcos not supporting DVB), 6110 - GPS Phone... And lastly a 3xxx phone...

Bought a Stolen Notebook... How can buyer solve it

I opened up this topic to get the best solution from u guys. I mean, sometimes we (buyers) will buy a cheap priced notebook that was told that the warranty has already expired without checking it out, right?

This case happens to one of my friend's client who was having problem when the Inspiron 700 notebook that was bought for RM3000, was hit by a lightning. He checked two weeks before the incident in Dell website and the notebook still has some more warranty left. He then called Dell to claimed the warranty and BUMMER, Dell staffs told him it was a fraud notebook where original buyer reported it was stolen.

Now, he is in bad situation. Don't know what to do. He lost his RM3000 and then found out it was a stolen notebook. He is now in depressed and asking some of us what to do.

Guys, help me out here. What should I do to help him? Report to police and trace back the thief. If he do that, he still lost his Rm3ooo right? If he don't report it, he is still in trouble if he is caught, right? What should he do?

------------------------------------------------------------

This is a case where we need good answers to solve this problem... Just give it a shot.... BTW, the ppl involved are not real just a 'WHAT-IF' situation.... LOL....

ROUTER WITH MORE THAN ONE ADSL LINK

Both are now online and running perfectly. Speed of both services are at optimum speed - more than 800kbps all time. But now with two broadband are up and running, I was thinking of making my broadband to be shared via a single router with two broadband links connected to Internet.

I read about Prolink Broadband Balancer router which have the capabilities that I was looking for but the price is RM900++, which is quite unexpected. Anyone have seen the router with this function? I also came across WRT54GP2A-AT Linksys but then it has two phone ports and not Ethernet ports.

Anyone can give some info and links / address of the shop that has these kind of routers please post it here. Thanks... Really need help.

Mac OSX x86

I just knew that there are some projects going on on getting an OSX X86 into Intel based PC/notebook. Yeah, we heard that Apple already jump into Intel processors for their Macbook Pro, so the MacOS X is also capable of running on x86 AKA Intel based machine - ur PC/notebook.

Google it, and you will find that there lots of hacked OSX x86 applications to be used after installing these nice GUI OS into our PC/notebook.

Problem is;
1. Anyone of you ever tried it?
2. Any problems after installing it?
3. Is it slow? Is it fast?
4. Does it supports nVidia GPUs? (i know MacOS is running on FreeBSD but can it be installed?)
5. Anybody has it? I will buy the 10.4.3 or 10.4.4 ISO from him/her?

Of course, this topic is for educational/research purpose. Not to get Mac lovers angry but hey, we can choose what to be tested on or PC/notebook , right?
