Mother and daughter found dead in luxury car

JOHOR BARU: A mother and her teenage daughter were found dead in a luxury car at Bandar Baru Uda here.

Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Balveer Singh stated that the 42-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter are believed to have been shopping nearby before stopping to take a break.

"Based on the last text messages found on the mother's phone, we believe they were at the scene to rest after shopping in the area.

"We are still investigating the matter, but early findings suggest there was a petrol leakage in the car's engine, which caused fumes to enter the air conditioning system.

"So far, no criminal elements are involved," he said, adding that their bodies have been sent to Hospital Sultanah Aminah for a postmortem.

He shared this information during a press conference at the Johor Baru North police headquarters on Friday (Jan 24).

ACP Balveer added that the police received a report about the incident from a passerby at around 10pm on Thursday (Jan 23).

"According to witnesses at the scene, the car engine was still running when they were found," he noted.

in facts my solar pv over generation, anyone wanna come my house to charge?

Outstation experience:-
a) Monthly drive from Subang Jaya to Ipoh, use up about 50% battery one way, charge at hometown using 13A charger no need to use DCFC
b) Drove once to Gua Musang one way 280km use up 60% charge, charge at DCFC there during lunch time to 90%.
c) Drove once to JB one way 350km use up 80% charge, charge at tesla supercharger during lunch time to 100%

Almost 2024 year end so just do a summary of solar generation.

Total generation 9173kwh for 362 days
Average 9173/362 or 25.3kwh per day
Or 25.3/7.2 equal 3.52kwh/kwp/day
In 10 years NEM period, total generation 3650days X 25.3 equal 92345kwh, or about 90000kwh considering some degradation
Cost per kWh generation equal 23000/90000 or about 26sen per kwh

EV efficiency about 0.128kwh/km or 7.8km/kWh
If use solar generation cost, is about 0.128 X 26 equal 3.3sen/km
In some good traffic conditions and nice weather, EV can be very efficient, getting about 10km/kwh

LFP is regarded as something like 10 times less likely to go into thermal runaway than NMC. The big BUT here is that BEVs are far less likely to burn than an ICE vehicle (see articles here and here) – so if you are happy to drive a petrol car now, a battery EV is a much safer choice already, irrespective of chemistry.

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 23): Malaysia racked up the largest hoard of foreign reserves in nearly a decade by Sept 13, according to its central bank.

The latest international reserves totalled US$117.6 billion, the most since Dec 15, 2014, compared to US$116.8 billion at the end of August, Bank Negara Malaysia said in a statement on Monday.

"The reserves position is sufficient to finance 5.5 months of imports of goods and services, and is one times the total short-term external debt," it said.

Bank Negara releases data on foreign exchange reserves every two weeks.

Among the reserves components, foreign currency reserves rose to US$105.4 billion from US$104.5 billion on Aug 30 while the International Monetary Fund reserves slipped to US$1.2 billion from US$1.3 billion.

The remaining reserve components stayed the same, with special drawing rights unchanged at US$5.7 billion, gold at US$2.9 billion, and other reserve assets at US$2.4 billion.

The central bank's total assets stood at RM653.59 billion as at Sept 13.

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 537,996 individuals have received both doses of their vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme as of yesterday (April 28), said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

Car aircond not cold after service

I sent my 4 years old Honda to service centre last Thursday. They said need to service aircond because said I never do if before even clocking about 110000 km. I said OK lah although I still few cold enough even if I set at 26 degree.

They have changed vaporiser or what not. First few days feel cooler than before service. But today suddenly feel vot cold enough even at 24 degree. Need to set to 22 degree only feel cold.

Any sifu here know what happening?
