accounting or marketing

I'm a student in curtin uni, but I have no idea what major to choose . There are 2 major for me to choose now , one is accounting&finance , and the another one is marketing&finance.

I am quite interesting in marketing . But some of my friends said that marketing is a subject which you dont need to spent money and study , because u can learn it easily when u work in an business environment. And my friends say everyone can do marketing , although the student come out from form 5 also can take the marketing position.

But when i asked other friends about taking account&finance , they said account is not an easy subject and will not get higher pay unless u have an ACCA. the basic salary is about 1400. But some say account is less stress and can get higher pay. So i doubt about it .

Can anyone pls give me some opinion about which course is better in the future or maybe which course will get higher pay ? Thx a lot
