Seems like many some people donno that SST (Sales & Services Tax) is actually two separate category of taxes a.k.a. Sales Tax (sale of goods) / Service Tax (provision of services).

This include Syed Saddick who has demonstrated that he is either clueless, willfully ignorant or purposely misleading people.

Actually no, what is proposed to be increased from 6% to 8% is Service Tax only and NOT Sales Tax, with certain sectors being exempted including the food & beverage and telecommunication sectors.

For all the examples this dummy gave "daripada toiletries, beg, baju, seluar, kasut, peralatan sekolah" which apparently "akan ada kenaikan", are actually taxable under Sales Tax, NOT Service Tax, and therefore would NOT face an increase in taxes.

So no matter if you are buying new X70 for Abe ke, new seluar dalam, kasut or peralatan sekolah for yourself ke, YB there will be NO changes under budget 2024 and you are still subject to pay the same 5/10% Sales Tax (got some items being taxed 5% some 10%).

But if you are paying for a service such as getting a divorce or buying a house, then your loyar's legal fees will incur 8% Service Tax instead of 6% previously. Same goes for your insurance payments, internet subscriptions like netflix, spotify or utube premium. But telco is exempted so no change for internet and phone subscriptions.

Another example would be when you service your car and lets say you change your engine oil, Service Tax will be applicable to the labour charges only. While the engine oil itself would be subject to Sales Tax (yes, one single transaction can have 2 different type of taxes)

Quicky summary of what he said is that he is willing to help get the so called 2 million doses of Sinovac donation approved.

However, after checking with the company that produces Sinovac and the company (Xing Tai something something) that offered the donation, he found that the so called donation is a scam cos the company Xing Tai something something does not exists, and the representative of the company that produces Sinovac that is referred to in the letter was never informed about this so called order for 2 million doses of Sinovac. And Sabah apparently received the same type of letter too

The overweight oversized lady dat offers nice body grip and functions? Or the slimmer sexier less grippy less functional chick? That is the question.

Damned i hate to be a dilemma like this T_T, which one to go for?

The i like the A570IS more for its IS and manual functions. But then the size and unstylishness is drawing me back. The Ixus 70 on the other hand looks sexier in a boxy way and is slimmer thus more pocketable but then lacks in IS and manual functions. Reviews on Cnet have shown both cameras produce good pictures with PnS photos. However the user feedback for the IXUS 70 from dpreview told a contradicting story with the Cnet reviews, whereby the Dpreview users have complained of blurry pictures w but the Cnet users overwhelmingly praised it taking excellent photos. Who should i trust? Mobility is a issue for me, i would surely like to place a camera in my pocket, but then i would also like to play around with the functions while i shoot photos with shakey hands. I know its imposible to enjoy them all and would have to sacrifice one at the end of the day, but for you all pros in lowyat.net, which one is the better choice?

Could the pros out there help out this noobie make a decision? I know by throwing in couple hundred more bucks i could probally get the best of both worlds, but then my RM900-1000 budget limited my scope and choices T_T.

Canon PowerShot A570 IS, Too fat?

Amature looking for a new DC here, did my noobie research and felt the specs and price ratio of the A570 IS took my soul away. But then, the size is pulling some part of it back. Why does it have to be so darn fat??? Ofcourse i dont need a answer for this question, but i really would like to know is the bulkyness unbearable, too immobile for a "compact" camera?

So A570 IS users can you voice out your opinion so that this desperate noob here can get a decent idea of which DC to get?
